How many accounts do you have and how many will you upgrade to SA?

To answer half of your question tho, All of them. I don't care to discuss how many that is but I would upgrade them all to SA if I enjoy any of the things that SA brings (and I am sure I will)

I'm just trying to get an idea what percentage of accounts will get upgraded. At this point, people I know have a lot of accounts, I've got 10 myself. I rotate through them one or two at a time. I won't be upgrading any, I haven't bought an expansion since AoS. But, I'm curious how many people will be spending the $30 per account to access the new dungeon.Cloak‡1293232 said:

I see, of course that means you have been missing out on a bit of the game since aos....Have to admit I got aos and the next one I got was ML, The dungeon its self would in fact be good enough to upgrade all of my accounts, but there are other things in the expansion that I would most likely upgrade for even if they didn't add a dungeon, Honestly I think adding more "land mass" is not the best way to go with this, as "thinning" the player base is not the best thing in my opinion but meh the dungeon should be fun from what I can tell so far.

All the accounts are SE upgraded from people who gave me codes after they bought them en masse for Soulstones. 1 of the 10 is upgraded to ML because the friend who gave the account to me when he left the game had upgraded it.
I play on Siege and the vast majority of my game time has been spent PvPing. So, access to Heartwood and peerless dungeons has never been a big issue.

Four and they'll all "upgrade." It might sound border line insane, but whatever dev does to encourage revenue, we'll give it to them if for no other reason than simply to say "thanks." And whether or not we adopt the actual client, we will get access to the new content, so everyone is a winner. Now, from my view the "bigger picture" is whether or not we will prefer to play the SA client or stick with 2D - it depends on the new client - but I'm certain we'll give it a go!

Weapons, Specials, Templates. I am sure if I thought hard enough I could think of other stuff that you could be missing out on with out the upgrades, but again to each their own, you don't have to have those things to enjoy the game, its a perk to be honest, and again I do not plan to upgrade for the dungeon, it is other things I see fitting to me

between me and my wife we have three accounts (two active and one not) and eventually all three will get upgraded. Hopefully by the end of the year I will be able to reopen my other account.
i have 3 accounts, and i'll be upgrading all 3 to SA. especially since draconi has made mention of hundreds of new housing tiles... i really like house design - it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy
I have two, and my main account will be upgraded. I haven't decided if I plan to upgrade the 2nd or not yet, I rarely ever use it. The only reason I keep it is for a 2nd house. Up until about 2 weeks ago it wasn't even upgraded to SE. I think the last upgrade on the account was AOS. The only reason I upgraded it was because I stumbled across a 9th anniversary box at my local game store. I wasn't planning on upgrading, but the box was half the price of the code from EA, plus I got a few free tokens with it.
Two and the odds are I will, but I am in a wait and see mode.

For me, the amount of active accounts fluctuate depending on RL priorities.
Upgrading decisions will depend on content.
It may take up to a year for me to upgrade 'everything', due to the online stores inability to allow more than one purchase per month.
With only one purchase per month - my primary focus remains gametime to keep account(s) active - additional content will remain secondary.

I have 6 active accounts at the moment. Probably 5 will be upgraded to SA, maybe all 6 eventually.

Zero active accounts and I doubt EA's latest attempt to milk their dying playerbase will convince me to reactivate or upgrade anything.
The only reason I bothered posting in this thread was after noticing how many people have 3+ accounts. It really does seem like there's less than 10,000 actual UO players.

7 accounts currently, at one time I had as many as 11. I've sold some and have 1 or 2 closed. Currently 3 of my accounts are upgraded to the last expansion (banking and home storage) the other 4 have the first home storage (20%) upgrade and 7 characters.
I will upgrade 1, then if I like what I see I'll upgrade 2 or 3 more. If I don't like what I see, I'll prob get rid of some of my homes and close 3 to 5 accounts, depending on what homes on what shards I decide to keep.
I'll keep 2 accounts open no matter what, however I'm currently looking for a reason to keep the other accounts open.

Two point five accounts... and none will be upgraded to the latest and greatest until I see some VERY noticeable fixes being made on a regular basis. Ie fix all the junk in the game that is broken before adding a boat load of new content.
Twice a year publishes to fix things is complete BS. EA and the dev team have put bare minimum effort into UO so why should I reward them for that?

I did not apply for SA beta after being so disappointed with being in KR beta then seeing what the final outcome looked like. KR was so beautiful at first ( to me ) then well... not so nice.
So if house tiles are like the shadow and crystal ones then no upgrades. If SA is anything like the TOT3 event or the same person is top boss of both then I fear for SA.
There is always hope I guess.

I may upgrade up to four accounts, or I may upgrade none. I need more information about the cost to upgrade, which new content is only available if you upgrade, how close to the back-to-school and holiday season the release date is, and whether there will be any type of pre-order gift and the amount of time allowed to pre-order. (I'm not sure how pre-ordering would work for electronic-only distribution and how many accounts you can do it for if you have multiple accounts, given the monthly purchase limitations on the UO code store.) Also a factor for me is whether customer service and other aspects of UO improve, stay the same, or decline over the next couple of months, especially in light of this week's announcement regarding EA's restructuring of its MMO and RPG games.

I only upgrade my two main accounts that have a reason to be. The others hold houses for the player run city. Also sometimes I use that 90day grace

Just curious, what is so important about a box and CD/DVD? Do you only buy your music by buying CD's? No downloading mp3's? No iPod? No MP3 player?
Personally, the ability to download software is one of the biggest advantages of the internet once you have a high-speed connection.
And now that I have a Blu-ray player that can stream Netflix, I may eventually never need to buy another movie disc either.
Box = trip to the store. Hope they aren't sold out. Wait in line. Buy the box. Get home and load the software.
Online = Trip to the website. Download the software and documentation. Load the software.
