I don't disagree with everyone running the same gear, what I do disagree with is...Sir Mord, I might have missed something you've said, but suppose we agree that everyone will run around with the same equipment. What precisely is wrong with that?
Well okay. That's the subject for a "why imbuing is overpowered" type thread. I don't really understand enough about imbuing for this, but hunting can give items to be unraveled or base items to be imbued. Which, for me at least, is a heap more fun than hunting was before.I don't disagree with everyone running the same gear, what I do disagree with is...
-Crafters getting 450% intensity while others get only 400%. If I understand this right, I could get a dagger off a peerless with only 48% hld and 48% fireball, but a smith could just craft a GM one, and put MORE intensity on it. How does this make hunting viable AT ALL?!
-Archers really got screwed. You need 40SSI on bows for them to be truly good.
With 12 years experience playin this game, i've seen em come and i've seen em go. I've seen the endless cycle of changes this game has to offer. This is not a "change" this is called hitting the wall. I'll give it by spring or even summer (for those that are slow) next year, everyone left on this shard (talking to those that pvp) will have weapons, armor, and gear that is exactly the same as the next guy. Look out, that wall is pretty big.
PVM loot is now pretty much useless outside of boss loot, which may be too much for many to tackle. How could this hurt PvM?
As long as they're lying on there back they can say whatever they wish. The truth hurts.
Archers have ruled for the past 2 years, the change is way past due.-Archers really got screwed. You need 40SSI on bows for them to be truly good.
crafters get 500, monster loot items are 450 I think. I assume the caps were done the way they were to not completely devalue the higher end hammers.I don't disagree with everyone running the same gear, what I do disagree with is...

Monster loot weps and armor sucks because weps are not gm and monster loot will not a get a exceptional or arms lore bonus to resists. Of course if you are not looking for resists just starting mods like mr2 or lmc 8 then they are ok as long as it is only lmc 8 or mr2. Otherwise property slots are wasted on stuff you do not want. The only real thing worth farming would be jewels. But then again you want max intensities to save resource farming and they have to be in the right mod and have no other unwanted mods. So blank 1/3's should be more valuable than 1/3 with a bunch of other crap mods. But like a 1/3 with 4 lmc is fine if you were planning on adding 7 or 8 lmc anyway.PVM loot is now pretty much useless outside of boss loot, which may be too much for many to tackle.
You can make good baseline stuff, stuff with out relics, that will be better than 90% of anything you find on a monster.
Pvm will now be for 1) stuff to unravel, 2) champs, peerless only.
Although I have a feeling #2 is how it was for most people already, so It probably wont have a huge effect.
