...although that may be the bonus gifts code rather than the account upgrade code, they could apply the upgrade direct to your account if you were logged in with your account at the game codes store.

I'm just wondering cause I have heard a few people talking about it and say someone wants to buy their expansion for them, do they have to give them their account info to log in. Would of been nice had they just threw the expansion on the shelves, guess thats to much to ask.. cheaper for them I guess...

They've said we can buy multiple upgrades in one go from the EA Store website, so it should be possible to buy for someone else's account if you're feeling kind.
