Cheating founders =/ Thats a big stinker. I'm sorry that happened. Its not dumb to be scammed, though. It happens to a lot of smart sims.

not true, but i woulda had a tree... and guess thought it was a grand deal, too good to be true, and if i scammed, how is it she has my lot i built, a 4 room house on stilts with all water on first floor... had a friend there, btw..can i say her name? she can be asked..

No you may not say her name.

Edit: Nor may anyone else accuse her or anyone else. If a scam has taken place notifying EA via the in game reporting system is the way to go.

A reminder, If you are trading a lot the only safe way to do this is with the secure deed trade. A tree was mentioned, trees may not be traded only sold on store lots and I believe they can be traded with a lot in the case of a property sale with the deed and items.

What you do on FB is of no concern to Stratics, but two things:

1: What you put on Avatar Book is subject to EA's ToS.
2: You still cant discuss it here using names or specific information that may lead anyone to find the individual in game.

Always report such things properly in game and let EA sort it out.

I understand that not everyone reads the stratics forum or use tsomania and such. Would it be a good idea that when a sim lands in city view to have a reminder about scammers and what to do? If the scamming continues I can see a potential loss for EA.

I don't want a noob to get scammed and think that this is all that happens in TC3 or EAL. Or that you can't trust anyone because we know that thats not true.

Just want to give a heads up.

I would like to see the notice from EA more often to alert new players and remind the oldies, yes.

I would suggest the ea dev team to do a post about how to trade a house secure with deeds.
I am sure not everyone knows how to use it

This is really sad. How can a founder, who knows about scamming, do this to someone? I am not sure what the dev team can do for this, but I hope they get this person good. I am sorry to hear about this but hopefully you won't do this again. The way I always say it is, If it's too good to be true... it prolly isn't.

I am so sorry to hear about this. But keep in mind scammers have been around since the beginning and some are founders. The fact they are a founder does not make them automatically trust worthy. All the founders I have met have been great and some have been extremely generous but there is a small minority that are not so use caution and the tools implemented in the game to guard against this type of thing.

Best of luck to you!

You are so right! I also want to add that many many people sold their founder accounts, so just because someone has a little symbol doesn't mean they are the real thing.

Hasn't anyone learned anything from yesterday and the thread bashing that store owner over the custom content problem. Luckily the owner showed up to defend himself.

I believe there is more to this than what is being said. I'm not about to run off into the game and start slapping down 1900 day old founders living on islands.

I had a competition at my house last year. I was giving out 100k for a grand prize. The winner came over and I paid her. She proceeded to say in all caps in room chat 'WHERE IS MY MONEY? WHY DID YOU GIVE ME A TOILET AND NO MONEY?

So I will reserve my judgement because I don't think we know the real or whole story yet.

As the population grows, I really really hope that these types of threads are not going to become a daily thing because I would hate to have to come here every day and read this crap and defend what ever any mojo wants to say about me if I were to happen to rub them the wrong way!

And BTW...who were you before you were Lola?

Yesterday I was visited at my small store by a sim with a Founders Account, who wanted me to buy her rares and trees since she was leaving the game, I ask why? If you are leaving game as you say you are, give them away to friends. What good are simoleans to you?

This turned into a conversation with her repeatedly asking me how much money I had over and over again. NOW issue was my money. Actually the conversation was bizarre, with her changing her story every time she spoke.

Having been scammed, I now am alert (finally) to what is suspicious behaviour. I reported, banned and booted her. IF she was a true founders account, then so be it. I don't want to play her kind of game. And I know founders accounts were at one time being privately sold.

Make sure you call EA, their number is listed in the first post (Bug Reporting) on this forum. I feel for you, as I am an old sim, who fell for a scam too, and I felt soooo dumb......I am so sorry, but I feel your pain, and that is NO KIDDING

WARNING ABOUT FOUNDERS ACCOUNTS: Many, many founders accounts are not owned by the original founders any more because they sold their founder's accounts on e-bay and other web sites to someone else who bought the accounts. "Founder" doesn't necessarily mean trustworthy.

I know who this freakin scammer is. She scammed one of my friends today too.

Tried to scam me with an incognito sim. I hope she is caught and rots.

We all have reported her and sent e-mails to EA.

I know who she is. She wanted me to buy her lot and mystic tree for 100k. She also had the nerve to ask for my credit card info and e-mail address. So suspicious all she kept asking was how much money I had and how to use a ATM machine and she even considered to help me make a pay pal account.

Right off the bat you can so tell she is a scammer by doing all of this.

Exactly. She asked me for my personal information as well. I hope our emails and reports to EA takes care of this soon.
