how does spellweaving focus work?

the faq is all wrong it sais 1 hour per arcanist

when i first got spellweaving me and a friend made one

it had a life span of sevral seconds!

whats the range on the lifespan and how is it determined?

Spellweaving isn't my speciality and i daresay someone who know's the skill will answer this for you.

It is my understanding that it should be a minimum of 1 hour in length.
Were you and your friend within 20 skill points of each other?
Have you tried it again to see if the result is the same?
