I've heard of a program called Fraps, but UO is not listed as a supported program. Thanks in advance

Fraps will work. It is processor/memory top heavy, so if you aren't on the higher end of things, expect choppy, or worse, results.

Use Guncam if you want to record UO, Fraps is at best crappy.

Nah its not free, but im sure you can get a reg code somewhere for free :) but then again 20$ isnt all that much either :)

edit: you can still use a unregistered version though but you get a "guncam" stamp on it, and im not sure if you get the same custom abilities for your movies, but still usable

Thanks everyone for suggestions. I think I'm going to try a free option before I pay for something. :)

If you have an G15 or G13 with an LCD Fraps can provide fps information to LCDSirReal (the mother of all G series lcd apps). The point being that it can do more than one thing, and that functionality is free.

For an example of a UO video made with it check out:

Just out of curiosity, why were enemies highlighting purple? Is that some configuration option I've missed all these years, or is that a video effect (although it doesn't look like one to me)?

edit: Answered my own question. Config option I never payed attention to before... :)
