[Imbuing] How do you make Ring (Brace) to Imbue?

How does one go about making a ring or brace to imbue? or do i have to make a special item?

just have your tinker make you one in the jewelry menu is where rings and bracelets are!or you could buy from tinker

But i cannot use powders of fort on them so how do i raise the durability on them

Once you imbue it then it auto becomes 255 durability.

what about on dropped items that I imbue; will they become 255 Dur when I imbue or do I need to hit with powder of Fort prior to imbue?

They'll automatically start at 255/255. No need for PoF on jewelry. Just armor and weapons.
