How do people add icons like hearts to rune book titles etc?

go to start bar
all programs
accessories
system tools
character map
arial font (or others work too, just gotta find the ones that do)
look down by group by and click on it then go to
unicode subrange and you'll get a group by list pop up
look for symbols and dingbats
the font boxes will now show music notes, hearts ect
click on the ones you want and hit select then you can type in the white box next to them for example:

♪ i like music notes ♪

hit copy and then go into UO.

Ok. How the heck do people change their font color on house signs, runes, and book names? For the life of me I can't remember!

That was html code. The ability to do so has been removed thanks to people who couldn't play nicely. Only way to do so now is to have a something previously tagged with html code. ie my house is still named in html, if I mark runes inside the house it will mark the runes the same way, but if I drop the runes in a book, they show the code :/

Wasn't there a way about hmm 6 years ago to color the runes inside runebooks? Something like <r>My house and when you dropped the runes inside the books "my house" was in red?

You can still dye runes with the runebook dye tub, but when the tubs first came out the runes would keep the color in their title inside a book. When they started to color code each facet, they got rid of that, probably so players couldn't falsify Fel runes.
