How do I get rid of the word "Guarded" under my characters name?

I've ordered his pets to stop, I've stabled them. I've turned off all titles. I've tried both clients. I've never seen this before .

How do I get rid of it? Calling a GM will just get me sent to the Knowledge base which is still showing the old title system info.

order all pets to stop and stable them, then go time out , don't instalog. logging out helps alot of problems

It is the pet thing. I brought in another accounts Tamer and he's now in the same condition. He is standing beside the first character while it times out in Luna.

ill tell them to all stop
all stay
stable them, log out, dance around, drink milk from the far side of that glass.

ect ect ect.

its just one of those things.

its like how i can see my faction title when im in tram ruleset.
and then other times i cant see it when im in fel.

i think that maybe YOU can see the guarded title, but other people wont see it once you tell your pet to 'all stop'

I think if you stable pets that are guarding you, the guarding notice persists. Thus you have to cycle through the pets in your stable and tell them to stop in order to remove this effect.

I had both accounts active and the other one could see it to. I've got a character I was training Veterenary & Animal Lore on and have been supplying it with Polar Bears from the other accounts Tamer.

I'm going to try cycling through the pets in the stable. Hopefully it's not a holdover from a dead one.

Bingo, one of the three polar bears was showing "Guarding". I did a "Stop" on it, restabled the three bears, and the word "Guarded" remained until I recalled him to the house from Luna.

I don't normally use guarding with pets. It makes them wander off to much.

i think when they are in guard mode and commanded to stop they have a 2 minute flag timer before it will go away also , not 100% sure

The info is stored temporarily on your computer. To get it to refresh, you must completely close uo and restart the whole client. Then it should update properly. Simply logging out will not clear titles.

hehe ok I'll help you.

First take out the pet that is guarding you, if your unsure do this to all the pets.
Feed them, tell them to follow you, and see if the guarded removes from your person.
Wash, rince, repeat with each pet. You do have a limit of how many can guard you so its wise to remove this as you go or one day when you really need to be guarded you cant be cause your quota is full.

easy - just tell pet to ALL KILL and target a bush or something

Tell all the pets "All Stop" and rotate and do the same for all the pets in stables.

Then go to the Abyss and kick Slasher in the ankle.

I've played a Tamer since 2002 or so. I just don't use the "guard me" command because the pet takes off after something all the time.

Getting targeted by a greater dragon and having yours suddenly take off after a sewer rat half a screen behind you could be awkward.
