You need to contact your shard EM.

http://uo.stratics.com/ Stratics has links to the EM Websites for each shard to the right, They should have information about the Town system on their site.

2 people don't make a town man...

the whole idea of towns in UO really has to do with factions, which is a broken system and has no effect on the game. factions should be removed from UO or factioneers should be allowed to have an impact in trammel

2 people and 5 houses = a town? Must be nice.
Well, they look moreso at the overall feel of the area. They cannot actually tell if it would be 5 houses that 1 person owns or 5 houses 5 people own. They look more at the cohesiveness of those buildings that ARE together as well as their history and what, if anything, they do for the community.

I know of a few places that have only 1 or 2 players, but due to the number of accounts they have are able to not only create a town but earn a banner from it. Besides, a single establishment is eligible for a banner, anyhow.

It's called a 'Hamlet', If we pay for 5 houses I think we should count.

The larger the town the better the banner, Guardsmen Militia have an entire bridge going over a path through their town - it's bloody fantastic!

I have 9 houses all together in Malas and was awarded town status... but though I own them - it is the alliance hall for an alliance of over 20 guilds and is set up to fully support the functions of a normal town (minus a banker).

It's not how many players own it - it's how many players use it.

Argh. You probably have a point in real life as a town isnt made of 2 people.

In THIS game. You need 4 houses. At the most, you'd have 4 owners. In this case 2 owners. Net difference 2. But you know what. The town isnt about the house owners, its about well just making a fun town with a theme.

In some cases, guilds hang out, in my case, its a commerce town where people can shop and set up shop for free.
