how can i play with win 7?

i would like to play with win 7 and curently i bean unable to find a legal wertion of it would it be posseble to get a link to a sight were i can get it and preferably with instruction to how to install it as i dont have a clue what to do thx

would prefer it to be free but if i have to i pay np

Up until last month there was a windows 7 beta you could opt in to to test the OS. That is over now. If you want windows 7, you will either have to pay for it or go try it out in an internet cafe/other similar place that has it running.

If you have a current and legit version of Win XP or Win Vista, you can upgrade via Microsoft's website at a cheaper price than purchasing the full version. Here's a link for you: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/buy/default.aspx

If you don't have a legit version as mentioned above, your only way is to purchase the full version wich you can get at any BestBuy or most other places such as that or online. Careful with Ebay if you shop there... I've found a lot of counterfeits run on the auctions. Play safe and buy something you know is 100% legit.

As for Win 7 and UO... I have the 64bit Win7 and I have no problems what-so-ever. Only issues I have are with my actual internet provider. Cable connection but when there is deep snow outside or extreme cold (teens and lower temps) I disconnect at random times. When my signal is good though, I fly in game!

Win 7 is a little odd getting used to for me as I didn't have Vista, I had XP Pro prior to 7. If your used to Vista I'm told the transition in use is easier. I'm used to 7 now after a week of casual use and I LOVE it!

i have win 7 but i am unable to log in to the game uo that is

this i my main computer and i would prefer to be able to log in with this computer

i dont mind paying to play only want to be able to log n to game is all

and i dont want a eligal way to log in

I may not be understanding your question fully, but make sure that you set UO, either the Enhanced Client or the Classic Client, to run in "Admin Mode." You can try this by RIGHT CLICKING on the UO.exe icon and select "run as admin." If it works you can RIGHT CLICK the icon, choose PROPERTIES and then the COMPATIBILITY TAB. Here you will find a CHECK BOX that you can CHECK so that UO always runs in admin mode without you needing to select it every time.

tryed it and still cant log in say in notice that i lack a patch or some thing

It may be a matter of installing and reinstalling (not re-downloading). I recall a post pr two in this thread discussing the fact that one of the patches for the Enhanced Client required that it be run in admin mode. My "guess" is that it already tried to patch, got buggered up , and now even though you are running in admin mode it can not complete the patch. A pain I know, but it is all that comes to mind right now. Again there is no need to download the client again just install and reinstall in admin mode, run in admin mode and you "should" patch properly.

during instalment in admin mood the pach did hang sevral times but wen i restarted the paching it resumed from were i was so i was still able to get the game down


have some errors in the intro to but as long as you fix that it shood not be any problems to run the game in win 7

oki i put this simple go to win folder were uo is located go preferences
klick admin then reinstall paches
unless you already done that
then if the pach stops klick the game again then wait to the pach is reinstalled

then go game and play your harth out:lol:
