2 ways:

1)type it in a book, letter for letter

2)character with the inscription skill can copy whole books at a time, I am not exactly sure how much skill you need, I have only copied book on my gm scribe, so it might be lower but I doubt it.

ok figured it out again!

its been awhile. You need inscription skill (I have gm) open you skill gump (alt + k) for 2D, place the book you want to copy in your backpack along with a blank book. in the skill gump hit the blue button next to the inscription skill, it will then ask you which book would you like to copy with a target cursor, you then click on the book you wish to copy, then you click on the blank book to make a copy.

You can fail if your inscription skill is below gm, so I can not tell what the failure rate is (tried it on my pally with zero inscription failed every time)

i've used my bard to make copies a few times, being too lazy to get on my scribe ...

he has 0 inscrip, other than the 20% joat bonus being human, and succeeded enough to get some copies made w/o alot of frustration ;-)

there you go,

you have the joat bonus so you have inscription of 20,

whereas my paladin is an elf, so zero inscription is zero inscription.

I was just testing it on a character that has zero real skill. Since I had no idea what the failure rate is. Since I only have a gm scribe.
