aparently UO has placed the houses in the abyss, both owned by messana(on GL). not sure if anyone has won yet, can still do quest. GUess they r getting a jump on things by placing houses

Houses in Abyss

I will be placing those houses on all shards, this does not mean the event is over by any means. Its just alot of houses to place so yes, I am getting a jump on it.

Mesanna, can you clarify that if the winner failed to do Quest 3 on his/her winning day, the win will be forfeited and the system will roll for another winner at the next server up? Thanks.
Don't you win by actually doing part 3 of the quest? So it would be impossible to win without doing it.

According to my understanding of dev Mark's explaination, the winner is already pre-determined at server up. You run part 3 of the quest just to find out if you win, or someone else won. So if the selected winner doesn't do part 3 on the day of winning, he would forfeit his win while blocking other players quest attempt. My question is, on the next day, whether the system will roll for another winner or wait for the winner to run part 3.

I'm guessing its simply an issue of rolling for a new winner each day, until a winner does it on their day.
If you miss a day and you were the winner, you'll never get it back. But fortunately we don't know who was selected lol, as it would be a painful blow to find out that you were winner but couldn't log in all day due to other issues.

Yes, the system just rolls again each day if noone wins.
If you missed a day when one of your characters was chosen your chance to be chosen the next day is the same as anyone elses. You are not removed from the list or anything like that.

So it chooses one of your characters who did the part 1 right? No others. Like it's not gonna be my blacksmith who never left the safety of the house, yeah? And does it do it just by the characters? Or account? Like any character can "win" if it chooses your account. Or does it just choose the character?
