Well the money houses get automatic commission on items made, and they still have tip jars.

I have seen this been mentioned many times, and I just have to reply to it. It seems people are under the impression that the owner/roomies in money houses makes loads of money on kickbacks. I'm a roomie in a money house that is basically full all the time, when we're open. During that time (lets say 12 hours) we refill the fridge at least 3 times. That's 480x3=$1440.
The kickback for each sell is $1 if you happen to OWN the object in use. I don't know what the kickback is for Pizza/Code/Maze, as I don't own any of those. As far as I remember, $122 was the highest number I have seen. And that was after a few hours of gnome craze, when that was paying very good. Including what I manage to make myself, between hosting responsibilities, I do not make enough to cover food and repair costs. With the lousy payouts and no bonus, we are forced to have a tip jar out. I would actually prefer not to.
I am very grateful for every $ our visitors put in our jars. With 4 slots in EA-Land, possibly 8 after BV merge, the weekly 'allowance' is a joke.
