House Placing Problems????

Usually when I try to place a plot, I get a message whether to accept plot or cancel. This time, I didn't. It just auto plotted. I tried to demolish to check and now have a message that I have to wait an hour to demolish again.

Is this a normal occurance now? Where was my message to cancel placement?:wall:

I just placed a house yesterday that took a few tries to get it right where I wanted it. Each time I got the cancel placement option. I've heard of others having trouble with this so you're not alone. Don't believe there's a fix for it... anyone else know?

Last night, I dropped a house behind my Keep, "I wish to resize my house" on the Keep, and slid a castle into place. I did not receive any requests if I wanted to accept the castle or cancel the placement. I did think it was odd that I didn't get the action gump, however, I wanted the castle and didn't care if it was one tile to either side or not; I was just happy it went into place.

Thank you both for confirming that this has been an occurance. I dropped and tried the second time thinking I had accidentally clicked to accept it without realizing it. Waiting for it to time out now.

Thanks again!

I think you wont get the gump if you have plotted more then one time in a one weeks peroid (as with the old rules of only being able to place a second house on any one account once per week). On the accounts I use plots for idocing which I use almost every day I never get the action gump so I think thats the only conclusion I can come up with.

simular thing happened to me this week, I owned a 15x18. I found an idoc placed a new plot my old started to decay. Sold new plot my old plot was still in the slightly worn stage and continued to progress to IDOC, last night knowing this issue wasn't going to be resolved by paging GM I decided to try resizing to get it out of decaying. It droped old house allowed me to replace same size same spot without the confirmation gump. Also since I did place the idoc and owned another house the housing tool said I wasn't able to place another for so many more hours yet it did allow me to resize with no problems but it reset the timing on being able to place another.

I wish they'd take a close look at this. Placing a house is pretty important stuff, especially trying to do it in Fel sometimes.

If I were going to try to change my Fel keep to a castle I'd want it to be fool proof as far as the mechanics go. It would be bad trying to do it and ending up losing the keep, as happened to a guild mate of mine. That was simply because he was on the 7 day timer without realizing it and it allowed him to go into the resize mode without a warning that he wouldn't be able to place. When the resize hour delay was up poof his keep was gone and someone else placed. He lost his keep and possibility of a castle.

When you try to resize you should not be able to enter that mode. It should say "you cannot resize at this time because you have x days before you can place a house" or something similar.

I think this is a huge oversight and needs an immediate fix

I thought you only got the conformation when you already owned another house....even if it was on a different shard, isn't it basically to let you know your other home will be condemned, and ask if your really sure that you want to go through with it?

I had 134 hours left togo on timer, when I went to resize. I was able to replace the house I was resizing even though I was still on timer but when I resized it just reset the timer so now I would have to wait another 7 days before placing a new plot from the time I resized.

My opinion is I dont feel bad for anyone who complains about house placement and its issues. Good Im glad there are issues. If ya all didnt whine about changing things in the first place problems like this wouldnt have happened. I think things should have stayed the same. Enjoy waiting another 5 months to figure out what to do next.

I haven't seen anyone post a good reply to you so i will.

i'm assuming you have no homes on that acct..i'm also assuming you have placed before a 7 day waiting period.
Many fail to realize the "timer" is for recieving a plot not placing.Anyone that has no home on thier accts can place all day, granted you get a ****ty 1 hr can't demo [which makes no sense to me].So if you plotted before you get the 7 day gump it will auto place.

As for the resizing issue...once again anyone can resize a plot you don't need a timer or wait 7 days[yes, you still get you cannot recieve a home for so many hours] but liek i said it has nothing to do with placement.

okay have a great day.

Just because you sell your new plotted home it wont stop the decay procecss of your old plot. You have to transfer that home/sell/replot/resize it to stop the decay[hence you're not allowed to own 2 homes on acct].

just some FYI.
