hmmm, boooks auto dropped

since scripting isnt legal, shouldnt some guilds that litter ground using auto copy/drop scripts be punished with a week ban, or something to reign in obvious cheating, is cheating just at books less than cheating at other aspects of game???? guilds have been punished in past for cheating why blind eye now!!!!!!!!!!!!

so question what is exceptable limit to cheat i would say!!!!!!!??????

I wish they would ban for that....generally I just change the title and the text inside to say something bad and leave the original icq in there....hopefully they get lots of requests for adult type chatting and such.

i wounder if we started a write in campaing every book we find auto dropped we leave another saying hey this group cheats!!!!!!!!!! maybe we all leave 30 - 100 book atop cheating group it will create lag and have an effect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! results messing with game is only bar that gets looked at !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the same with all cheating, prove they are doing it....I find it easy enough to copy books with inscription...I could see they could do it just as easily. But I do agree with you just sorta putting it in the "no proof" sense so you understand its not that its "acceptable" but they have as much proof of that as they do any other scripters, or speed hackers >.> (keep track of all my sarcasm in this post)

Being fond of books, i thought I would chime in here.. Well.. mainly question I think..

How do you know this is being done with a scripting exploit? Every human has 20 inscription... Copying books can be done enmasse by a few people, and then dropped around the shard (or all at Luna)

Guilds who drop books are looking for members, its an easy way to advertise.. Why are you punishing them bu changing the text of the books? If you want to do something construstive, get rid of the books from the gold and item seller websites.. THEY are the exploiters and the scripters, not some random guild looking for members.

Yeah it'd be really nice if they're just recruiting to keep their trash off of other shards but their own. It's the guild recruitment ones that really bug me.

Yeah, the last few auctions we have done on LS, we have noticed soon as we drop books with the items that are going to be auctioned off a guy comes around within minutes and copies over the book advertising his website (Which is illegal). This auction we have the red root leave thingy's that permanently etches the books writings. Still what a pain.

Here is something I was dealing with last week. Not much I could do the bot is on a trial account and they don't do books they copy over them. They never did make a change so we just read leaf the ones inside of the Luna bank area because the scripter can only reach so far and we know the limits of his bots view.

Dealing with such situations takes a little out of the norm and a big stretch on morals. As I said I could have picked up all this books over and over again but it would be futile. Before I contacted him I did page a gm and they helped Zero (3x) in a row to be exact. That is when I figured I should just talk to them and figure it out.

I am not the Chesapeake police and I'm not selling out it's just if their is a peaceful way to resolve such matters like this it is best to do it that way. They do their thing we do our thing and work something out. The gift he gave I took someones advice and put it into the Zoo to help the animals. It was a nice thing but eh I felt weird having it. So that is what was decided.
