Hiring Decorator on Atlantic

Hi all, I'm in need of an experienced decorator on Atlantic, it's an 18x18 already designed, north of Minoc in Trammel.

Not sure how these things work, I have a general idea of what I want for each room, but will really leave the aesthetics up to the decorator.

If I had time, I'd offer. I'd love to see what the inside of it looks like. Perhaps once I clear off my schedule in the next couple weeks I can see what I can do. Unfortunately, I do not have a crafter on Atlantic

Thank you all for the kind words. I'm almost positive the design isn't wholly original though, I seem to recall seeing something that at least resembled it years ago and it just popped into my head one day and I went to work, so it's probably a mash-up of different things I've seen. But I appreciate the kinds words nonetheless.

I have a house near full of items to decorate with and can get whoever wants to tackle the beast whatever else they need, I have a so-so crafter that can churn out a thing or two and if I can't make it, I'll go buy it.

Here are some inside shots. Ignore the chat, was cleaning up the stuff that didn't get moved into the moving crate after the redesign. Still waiting for a GM to remove that stuck painting in the basement too.

Yeah, by the time mine's "almost finished" I'm bored with it and re-build the entire thing, which is why I haven't posted pictures of it here for over a year now... >_> It's never quite done enough to show off!

Couldn't manage to decorate it myself so I ended up tearing it down. If someone wants to use the design for anything you have my blessing.

For my new place I wanted a classic house, but didn't want to lose the amount of lock downs and storage of an 18x18, so I rebuilt the Two Story Villa. Actually I rebuilt that and about 3 other classic designs, but the Villa was the easiest to expand to the width of an 18x18.

I did toy with the idea of just making it the same size and use the rest of the space for garden deco, stable or something, but wasn't sure how I wanted it to look so I just have that one saved in buffer in case I change my mind.

I don't know why but I find decorating and outfitting a classic home easier than the 'fantasy' castle home I'd like to build.

Anyways thanks for the kind words for the previous design everyone. I will post pictures once the design is finalized and I have some form of deco down.

Finally updated, and laughingly deco'd by me. Looking for more ideas, and/or possible tweaks for deco.

I do want to set up vendors in the tavern area, but not sure if you can set them up on the chairs, I don't want them to just stand around.

Laughingly deco'd!!! :O whatcha talkin bout Willis! I LOVE the outside of the house... the white walls, green tile roof and gardens are lovely.

There is a way to make vendors sit on the chairs but having a mind blank on exactly how it is acclomplished... I think you sit in the chair when you double click the vendor deed though. I absolutely would find some begging lanterns for you vendors to hold so they give off that nice "glow". Also, give them a uniform, like little barmaid outfits! Really nice job on the house

If you deco like that and need to hire a decorator then I am basically screwed since anything I could do is a joke in comparison.

your vendor will go where you are at the moment you hire them, so if you want them to sit on a stool, simply go sit there yourself if he's not facing the way you want him to open up his customize menu and then close it and he will turn to face you (you needn't do anything on the menu, just open and close it)

and now it's time to scamper off to the Minoc plains on Atlantic and have a look at this home, it's lovely!

Thank you for the kind words everyone. Sorry I have it set to private, while I'm moving stuff around, it'll be set to public on Tuesday. Still tweaking things, and rethinking others, but I'll have some time available on Tuesday to finalize things.

Wish I could get HB working so I could just vent my house creation needs there without demolishing a design I like and that works for me and the THB, such as it is, on Atlantic.

If you already have placed a vendor and want them to be seated (or want to put anything else on that now occupied tile, like carpet), stand on top of the vendor, say "I wish to place a trash barrel", put the item you want (stool or carpet tile) in the trash and use an axe or hatchet on it. Then make sure to lock it down.
