According to your own auction rules when the highest bid is above 5 mil... the minimum bid increment is 1 million.

When I made the 6.5 million bid, which is actually the highest VALID bid for item 18, Lestat should have made a 7.5 mil bid to outbid me.

His 7 mil bid is invalid according to your own rules.

Last night the auction ended at 4:00 in the morning for me. I had to go to sleep asap. Its not actually my fault you accepted an invalid bid and you sold the item in less than 12 hours from the end of the auction... contact Lestat and tell him he has to return the item.

Sorry, I accepted the bid incorrectly - but I did accept it. His final bid was only 8 minutes after your last post. Given that I didn't catch it, and accepted the bid, it's a bit late now 14 hours later to change things. Plus, two considerations - first, my normal remedy would have been to interpret his bid as 7.5m, not to invalidate his bid, so he'd still have won, he'd just have paid a bit more. Second, I really don't take kindly to folks giving me orders about how to run my auction.

For future reference, I do offer a free proxy service for anyone who needs it - I recognize that 9 EST is the middle of the night in Europe.

Excuse me but if you are going to run these formal auctions you have to pay attention to your own rules and correct people who aren't acting in accordance to them even if 10 days have passed since your auction ended.

What is the point of rules if you aren't going to follow them?

You say you wouldn't have invalidated his bid? Standard Procedure is to do so. You should have mentioned so in your original post. Next time I ll make 1gp bid increments and let you and the other buyers interpret the bids. Btw I never said he was not on time.

You wont even ask Lestat to return the item?

What other people thing on the matter? Captn Norrington? Other forum moderators?

Indeed you Pmed me offering to sell me one of those hats BUT ONLY IF you have a spare one.

Until you do check if you have a spare one, and if you do please post it here and I will buy for 6.5, I would like to hear what other people have to say on the matter (moderators) just in case you don't have a spare one to sell.
