Re Y268 and Y269, Keith of Sonoma bid 17m on each at 8:38, then Longtooths bid 20m on each at 8:41. You bid 12m on each at 8:57, but since that was below the current max bid, it didn't cause the 10-minute rule to come into play. Therefore they both closed at 9:00, and your your bid of 25m each at 9:02 was after the lots had already closed.

As for Y267 and Y268, bidders are allowed to raise their own bid, if they desire. In this case, I'm guessing that Longtooths misread your 25m bid on Y268-269 as being on the two open staffs, Y266-267.
For Y266-267, at 9:06, both lots were active under the 10-minute rule. Therefor your bid at 9:06 was valid.. You then posted to retract that bid at 9:16. I don't see that anything untoward happened however. You said you wanted 2 staffs, and that's what you ended up winning, so hopefully you're happy with what you won.

i agree very confusing, can we just make all bids even 1mils so easier to follow? this 100k stuff got to go i get too confused and just give up bidding when the cheapos bid up by .1m so yes i bid like that because the .1 bids make me mad.

if they make me lose because of no meaning 100k bid i try to make lose by 1gp lol. learning to be pro sneak bidder like others.

The 10 minute rule runs independantly per item.

Example: Auction ends at 9:00:
Tom bids 1m on lot 1 at 8:45.
John bids 1m on lot 2 at 8:00.
Sally bids 1m on lot 3 at 8:59.
Bob bids 1m on lot 4 at 9:00.
Frank bids 1m on lot 5 at 9:01.

Everyone's bids except Frank are valid. Frank's came in a minute too late, so his bid is invalid.
Assuming no other bids, the lots would have closed at:

Lot 1: 9:00
Lot 2: 9:00
Lot 3: 9:09
Lot 4: 9:10
Lot 5: 9:00

Now say that Frank then bids 2m on lot 4 at 9:08. Now lot 4 would not close until 9:18.
Then Bob bids 3m on lot 4 at 9:15. Lot 4 now will not close until 9:25.
All other lots have already closed; after lot 3 closes at 9:09, only lot 4 remains open. And it stays open until a full 10 minutes passes without any bids on lot 4.

Not everything's worth a mil. I have the minimum increments set to prevent +1 gp bids keeping auction lots open all night - thus you'll never lose by 1 gp, though you may lose a bid by 100k.

This auction rules are very fair, very clear, if one pays attention to the bidding, and follows the posts, then there should be no confusion or strife. I find whatever i wish to bid on, i write the number down or put it on notepad on pc, then after i post the bid according to the rules, i just watch the items i bidded on after my post. simple as 1 2 3! hope this helps.

p.s. one some rare occasions, for ex. say you and I are posting and our posts go on at the same time, i always refresh the page after my post, posts to make sure that nobody else has outbid me or bidded the same as i in the event of the same time.
