Hidden Gold On Body

So im out farming dragons and when I send a pile of gold something seemed wacky but the gold dissappeared. Then about 20 dead dragons later I drop another pile of gold on my backpack and i notice it doesnt register. Somehow I have like 20k gold hidden on myself that doesnt show. It's got me weighted down 200+ stones but it isn't in my pack or showing on my gold total on the status screen.

I've logged in and out, and switched servers, and killed myself. When I rez, the weight is still there but no pile or gold amount showing. Logged in and out using both assist running and not as well. If I drop a pile of gold on myself it shows just that amount and that pile.

Any suggestions?

Can you buy stuff from NPCs without any other gold in backpack?

If so, buy a lot and hope the weight reduces.

tryed, didnt work.

absolutly naked and nothing in pack and i weight 199 stones. Dead I weigh 200 stones, when i rez with a robe I weigh 202 stones.

Took 4 hours and 4 pages that there was never a (watch for a posted responce) responce to. Then im working Chiv and stuff starts popping below my feet and my weight drops to normal. Gm chat insues and GM Thowe asks if everything is ok now and my weights back to normal. I said a load of TY's and poof hes gone.

No explaination as to what happened or how to fix if it happens again. No way to tell you guys what not to do or watch for... Sorry. All I can say is when I used the sending bag and targeted the gold I did something in a weird order, and can't tell you what.

Only real complaint was not getting something responce wise telling me I was in a Q or something. Im so used to the canned 6th in Q responce I thought i was sending empty notes to GM's that were off on a Sunday night.

I was pleasently pleased with the fix-it.

When your chars got every recipe in the game, full stats, 40 SS's, and 3 120's too being completed you get realllllyyy stressed out when you begin having a issue and the "reinstall UO/delete char" becomes a possibility.

Had a permanent +30 str buff after a client crash some weeks ago.
It lasted for half an hour, then it was gone after server reboot.
Would be very bad if such stuff would stay on.

Some time after AoS came out, there was a bug where gold and other items could... for lack of a better term, "fall into", runebooks. I had gold and other items disappear and couldn't figure out what the heck was going on until I read about the problem on UHell. A GM was able to retrieve the items for me, but ever since, I have been wary about dropping items on my runebooks! Not that its hard to fix, but just a PITA!

Your issue sounds very similar.
