Hi everyone. I was wondering if any of you could solve this problem I had. It seems that I get disconnected from the game every 5-20 minutes. The game shuts off and I receive this message: "Your connection to Toontown has been unexpectedly broken." Anyone know a fix to constant disconnecting? Oh, and by the way, I use a wireless connection, but it happens on my wired connections, too. Thanks. :D

I am having the same problem and I was told it was because of a wireless router which if I owned one I think I would have thrown it out the window by now. But that is the only answer Disney is giving to me for this problem.
It used to only happen when teleporting now its happens at any time and more frequently. Been looking to do my first VP Run but keep putting it off because of how the game is running.

There are 2 things you can do to help solve this problem. 1) Search this forum for thw HOW TO RECONFIGURE YOUR ROUTER. 2) Upgrade your memory. I was having the sme problems when I first started. My computer only had 512 megs of RAM. I upgraded it with a 1 Gig Rams to 1.5 and it only happended occasionally. But ever since I added the second GIG of ram making my computer have 2 Gig's of Ram I have only been discoed one time.

Hope this helps.

This is good solid advice. I'd follow this first if I were you.

Welcome to Toontown Stratics!

Well, my laptop is very new, so I don't think it could be the memory. It's probably the router. Thanks guys, I'll try this when I can.

This just started happening to me today. I play everyday on the same laptop and until today have never had a problem:( But today every 20 minutes...sometimes an hour, it would say my internet connection was lost.

I felt bad leaving the team I was playing Bingo with on the blackout:( It just shut down on me without warning. I hope they won, we were so close.*darn internet connection*

How often do you do a Disc Cleanup? How often do you delete cookies and do a Defragment? These things slow down your computer which can slow down toontown. This shows up most times as LAG. When your computer is processing too much information it has to dump something. The easiest thing to dump is the internet coneection. Hence the loss of TT.

Try to do a Disc clean up and delete all that old junk out. and then do a defragment. See if that don't help you.

At home I have a windstream DSL and had no problem with disco but was having a lot of problems with my wife since I had the line tied up “all the time”. I got a linksys router 54G and thought life would be great again. However after great pains to get it adjusted to the TT site I get discoed often when I tele or at worse times. And that is with my lapt (dual core & 2GB ram) plugged into the back of the router. I hope some of the fixes y’all mentioned will solve the problem.
I stay in motels almost every week day and some of the wireless work just great and others give so much disco that I have to avoid doing HQs until I am somewhere else.
GETTING DISCOED REALLY STINKS!!!!

Thanks:) I will try that, I do it about once a week but I do play alot:) And I am doubly guilty of having 6 windows, my calculator and paint shop running at the same time LOL...

I play toon town in a window off to the side if I am fishing etc. (read not doing scary stuff:) ) Up till now though that never affected by connection but I am willing to try anything... shutting everything down and defragging sounds like a good plan:) Thanks!
