Ok, I will be serious with you.

Tonight, I barely escaped being killed north of Hedge Maze by a red.

Please take note that I did not name the person!
I am being polite to that Red's rep!
If that Red wanted to confirm this fact, that Red could reply.
But, why should the Red do that!
The reality on Siege Perilous is that most players do not want to give anything
to the other player.
So, I really expect nothing but being ignored! Like usual!

Most postings whether they are true or untrue simply lead to an "I said vs
they said" argument which will basically get locked by the Moderators.

Posters are getting bored with this activity and soon I expect that they
simply just post buying or sell items posts.

Maybe they just have nothing new to say...

Well either way I like it, that way I don't have to bump my buying threads, which is good cause thats a good use for these boards, unlike the constant "board pvp"

I have nothing against "board pvp". It just seems that some can not resist the one ups thing that inevitably happens. You know...

Hm not really tongue in cheek, I agree with your signature completely, I think board pvp is kinda childish now, I mean dont get me wrong, iv done it. And I regret it, seems very very ignorant to waste all that time while claiming to hold some sort of intangible superior status.

Board trash talk is what builds momentum for a fun fight. I really don't care if the mods agree or not, but most of the mods I know do not PvP so they don't understand. The public fueds are what can make the fights so much better, case in point:

My fight with TnT the other night was awesome, because they had been talking so much trash about GZ hugging and outside of GZ we did work on them.

Or my fights with Kage, tremendous trash talk before the fight, leading to more trash talk, and some fun encounters.

erm, what we, the mods, think about it doesn't come into it. All we are doing it trying to get people to keep the agreement they made when they signed up, to post within Rules of Conduct.

And I understand that, I just feel now some of the mods may feel less compelled to mod as much, so they deal out harsher punishments for lesser crimes.

I understand that some enjoy the verbal foreplay of bored pvp. Or the post conflict cuddle. That is all good and fine if that is what keeps your excitement at peak levels.

If it can be done with out calling one another names on a personal level, then please, knock yourself out.

It is true that I do not PvP much anymore. I rarely log into to UO at all these days. I remember when it was somewhat fun though. Now... Well, not so much.
