Heritage Token Fountain Question

Hey gang,
How much room does a fountain take up? I have this nice little area created specifically for it but it won't allow me to place it. =[ Big bummer.
Here is the area:

EDIT: Also having problems place Fountains of Life here up against the wall. Might it be because there is a roof on top of this area?

for some reason it needs a two tile clearance on the west side of my experiment, and only a one tile clearance on the north side

in the screenshot below, the fountain was targetted on the white tile.... you can also target the red tile to get it closer to the east wall

Did some experimenting and discovered it will not place because there was a roof on top. =[ Looks like I have to remove the roof in order to place the fountain and fountain of life.
