Help with PvP Suit

Happy new year to you all!

Over the last few weeks I have been working on a PvP char as it has been years since I had a go at PvP! I made a basic suit but to be honest I am a little lost as to what mods I do and dont need ect... I am going to, as always, start out with mace and Shields then I was thinking nice imbued / enhanced pieces were the way to go.

My character is fencing/tactics/stealth/hiding/Ninja/Bushido....

I was thinking basically just as much HPI, Stam inc and Mana inc with LMC and MR then a mix of HCI/DCI for the enhance with heartwood.

Does this sound about right? or should I be looking to reforge and get higher mana regain.

I am also open to suggestions as there may be other artifacts that would be a greater benifit to use. any tips and hints are most welcome.

Thanks for reading.

MR is only good on a warrior after recovering from a death since without meditation, focus, high INT, and medable suit the typical amount of mana per second will be 1mps even with 16 MR. So to get back to 30 mana it will take thirty seconds after death. If you want have a set of MR items in the bank and run to the bank for the MR then swap out suits after recovery.

The best way I find to get mana back after death is find some simple critter to attack with a mana leech weapon and the fastest seems to be to honor the simple critter. If you are on the edge of a champ spawn hit the easiest creature at the spawn. Or, shoot a caster guildmate that has high MR and med...leech off friends.

Mana leech is better than MR because on average the amount of mana gained is faster. Try to get a significant amount of stamina so with the weapon of choice it always swings at 1.25s. Typically I think below 120 stamina in fencing it gets difficult to still swing at maximum speed. This means that your weapon wouldn't need SSI and you can have the maximum mana leech. Use total refresh and divine fury to get stamina back. Fencing weapons have low base damage so try to get as much DI as possible so you are taking the highest possible mana leech, 40% off maximum damage times some random number of 0 to max HML%.

I would try reforging and getting 50% hit mana drain because that works against both warriors and casters to deplete their mana. You are better off if their mana is lower. You could try a weapon with 70% HML and HMD. I would be interested if that high leech and drain helps in pvp. The blacksmithy runics give 100% in contrast to only the heartwood runic in archery so I hadn't tried 70% in pvp.

Deciding who you will typically be against could help you decide things like exceeding fire resist caps, DCI caps, HCI caps, etc. Depending on chiv spell use you may need to be above DCI cap.

Stay away from reflect physical damage because as you may know the reflect occurs prior taking any damage causing you to go grey as attacker first.

I seriously disagree with the idea that MR is useless on a dexer. ML is weak in PvP and does not substitute effectively. IMO, dexers are actually bigger mana hogs than mages and really struggle at times to power their specials. A cuuent top end dexer suit will run with well over 100 mana and some people even find the need for Med as a skill and make space. For example, I run with Str/Stamina/Mana at 150/150/160 after potions. The OP is asking about PvP dexer builds and PvP is ultimately about burst damage. To do that, you need as deep a mana pool as you can get. Without MR, you have limited yourself to just one chance to win and once your mana is gone, you have no option but to run and hide.

Now, having said that, my actual advice is to do NOTHING until the next patch hits as it contains changes to armour and weapon mechanics that could potentially change the template game entirely. Be patient.
