Help with goza mat/stairs

Have a 2*2*1 hole where my stairs make 90 degree turn. 4 raised goza mats should do the trick. Is there a trick to placing the goza mats into this hole, as I can only visually see 1 mat when i place them. Thanks!

Circle of transparency usually works. You may need to make the radius large to see the whole 4 square section comfortably.
