Hi everybody :)

I own a castle in which im making a Museum with rares and Em items.
The problem is I'm not satisfied in using normal wood tables or stone tables to display those items.
Can someone gimme a deco idea to create "display cases" that looks cooler than normal tables?
I was thinking somethign about gozas, but deco isnt really my thing so I was wondering if one you amazing decoers can help me out...
Thanks in advance =)

Hi Pyccy,

I have always found water troughs with Goza on top to be one of the best options. The other I have used a lot revolves around using Artifact 1 rock (dyed appropriate colours) in conjunction with poppies / champions flowers (also dyed if required). If you have them, I also found half size Pedestal rubble colums useful.

Another effective deco idea revolves around dying small forges and place trees on them - this concept could also be used just to display an item.

If you go to this link you will see a number of options in use - including other such as boards / benchs etc:

The important thing is to try everything - sometimes even the silliest thing can turn out to be quite effective.

Thanks Mezzac

With a classic house you are going to be limited in what you can do, but there are a lot of ways to make displays.

I used gozas and decorative boxes heavily for display in this large tower:

In the upper right corner I used the cloth and stacked silver coin display case which I stole from one of Sarsmi's designs. Note - these do not turn out at all correct when viewed in the KR client (either standard KR or KR + legacy), I haven't tested them in the Enhanced Client.

You can also do wall displays, and use the "rope barrier" to make it look museum-like.

You can make "super" tables also by stacking yew wood tables on each other so they overlap without a seam, and you can dye them.

Just try stacking lots of different items to see how they look. Benches on wood thrones, rubble counters on small armoirs, Travesty trays on top of small tables, etc. Also try out the chopping techniques to get different looks with your stone table add-ons and other add ons.

The New Pedestals from the Puzzle work great for me.... If you dont like the stone top look you can put a black goza ontop... :thumbup1:

I put one of the new pillows on them and color the pillow.... works for me..... they are kinda a pain to use but .... they look ok. I just wish you could "engrave" them... with some sort of tool to write on their "plaque" some sort of description of what you are displaying. but maybe that's just a dream of mine.

I had over 3000 items on display in my castle. Water troughs/gozas are probably the 'neatest' ways of creating display cabinets, but stone tables, plain gozas, wooden benches can also be used effectively. Stone tables (or troughs etc) raised on the 'eastern' edge of a castle wing using gozas allows for using both sides of the narrow passage while allowing a person to travel freely down the centre.

Check those shown on the link. Note all the boxes on elven podiums were actually locked down for 'anyone' viewing access and contained collections of lots of things. Labeling the boxes so that people could 'click' to view those they were interested in.

I finally packed this up about 2 weeks ago as I am in the process of closing my accounts. Hope it gives you some ideas.

I always thought the dusty pillows were gonna be mostly useless, but they fit really nice on the pedestals.

I use water troughs crafted with colored wood. The "water" stays black and you don't have to use goza's on top.
