Help with deleted Character

I accidentaly deleted an char of mine in january, and have been trying to get it back
I know that this usually is not possible, but the char is about 7 years old and a lot of work went into it, so I have been trying to contact the support and customer services, but I haven't even been answered
So, does anyone have an idea what else I could do?

E Mail Mesanna? Or Cal?

Honestly, I don't know. I'm not sure you can actually recover them, but I'd try those two at least.

That sucks I know. I did that once with the first Bush Archer I made, 120 Archery and a 150 mil suit. I didn't have the heart to even start to rebuild that archer, for over a year. Still 5 points from 120, and working on replacing the bows:(

That being said, The rule is they can't replace lost items or characters. Perhaps if you can prove what you had someway, but I have no clue how you could do that.

Good luck, I really do hope you manage to get it back, just don't think it's going to happen.

PM Mesanna or Cal, but I doubt they'd do anything, especially since it's been so long.

I think you would've had to have gotten ahold of them within a day or two.

I deleted my original character when KR came out and I returned to the game... less than a day having done it and they couldn't help. :/

I wish you luck but in all reality your chances are slim to nil on getting the char back. I've had friends that had their accounts hacked and all chars deleted and when they called support they would be told to page a GM and they could help retrieve the char, but when they paged the GM the GM's would tell them that they didn't have the ability to do that and that they would need to call customer support.

I know it sucks to loose a char and everything it had, but you can look at it as a way to make a new char with a template you've never played before. You can always tell people that your old char was 20x better than this char and had the most unbelievable items but was lost due to user deletion error. You should be able to use that story for many years since I still hear people talk about the god weapons they used to own way back when...long before I ever played UO.

yup if your character gets deleted, theres no chance at all of getting it back, unless you have a strong relationship with someone on the dev team, or PM Cal and beg him over and over, definitely the worst thing a hacker can do because it would probably make people quit having all of their characters deleted so hackers can essentially cause subscription loss, but EA still doesn't do anything about hackers, not that you got hacked but just saying

You're not getting it back. Ever.

And I'm not being an ******* here. It's just the fact that UO was originally designed and coded over 14 years ago, and as such has no mechanisms for tracking deletions or ownership of items or characters like newer games do. It's the reason that they have a strict policy of not replacing lost items; they very simply have no way to prove an item existed, much less that you were the one it belonged to.

If you delete something in UO, it is gone forever. Period.

I really wish I could offer some sort of hope, but reality is that it just won't happen. This I'm 99% sure of. I had two accounts hacked at the same time, one I totally lost and I was not even able to recover the password (Which also was the hardest of the two to accept as it was my main account which was officially started when UO went live). The second, I managed to collect the pass, but to my dismay discovered that the fine gentleman who accessed it, had decided my chars couldn't possible live in the poverty ridden state they were left in and did what I can only assume was what he believed to be the humane route and kindly put them out of their misery. After some quality time with customer service, I was regretfully informed that there is no An Corp for deleted chars. No matter what circumstances led up to said deletion.

Although, I will admit that I'm not one to put much effort into such things and gave up promptly after the rep used the words "An Corp". It had just become to outlandish for me to deal with anymore.

I think that had something like that happened to me they best get me a straightjacket ASAP because if I ever found out who did it, I'm sure I'd earn myself a one way ticket to hell as I would have to go postal on them.
