Help with build: Anatomy or Meditation?

Hello all. I have been away a loooong time,a dn am looking to rebuild my good old Dark Wizardess, a magery/necromancy user built primarilly for PvP but with some thought at being effective in PvE as well.

These are the skills I am looking at at the moment:

Magery 106
Necromancy 100
Evaluate Intelligence 120
Spirit Speach 120
Inscription 100
Resist Magic 120

With 700 skill points to spend that leaves me with 34 points left over. the two major choices that are NOT on that list are a defence skill, and meditation. My instincts tell me I need the melee protection much more, especially for PvP, and especially with Shadow Whisp to help me through pro-longued PvE encounters. Still, its been a long time so I would like to hear form the community as it were.

Which one: Anatomy, or Meditaiton?

Also, if anyone has any other comments on the build, I am all ears I assure you.

Also, I;m curious about Spellweaving (which we didn't have back in MY day). Some of the discriptions seem interesting. Boost damage; auto-ressurect; cut enemy weapon damage in half... good times! but having read the PvP templates thread above, I notice there are no builds that use it.

Should I assume there is a good reason for that which I am not seeing?

Also: where can I get real numbers on its effects?

Put your Inscription on a soulstone.
Get Meditation.
Wear a Spellchanneling Mage weapon.

That would give you the classic Necromage template that us PVP'ers all love, at least I do anyway.

With necromancy's array of curses and debuffs, GM scribe's 10% spell damage will not be making much of a difference.

Get a mage weapon for your defense. Staff of the Magi is a cheap and easy choice.
The Gear of the Month for a necromage is one handed Spell channeling weapons with the mage weapon -skill property. You can make up for the loss in Mage skill with rings, bracelets and talismans. I used to run with Staff of the Magi for a long, long time before I finally moved up to the one -handed mage weapon.

anyway, have fun with this. Not much has changed as far as necromages go. build as much Defense chance increase as you can into your suit. You'll need it against dexers and archers.

back to work..

I imagine that will be the plan. *le sigh* I just never cared for being over-dependant on items. Still, have to find those extra skill points somewhere. Time to go find a Sword of Prosperity somewhere! XD

Anyone care to answer me about Spellweaving, by the by? Some of tis effects are obviously lackluster, but some of them seem decent. Or is it simply that it looses by comparison versus other options, such as necromancy or Chivalry?

On an unralted note, I fail at life (or at least memory, it seems) but I cna't get the damn trainer to let me pay him to train me! He keeps saying He'll do it if I give him gold each time I click on the option. Which I will. If only I could.

Trainer only trains up to a certain skill point (30-35?). After that you have to train it yourself.

You drag the gold and drop it on him, by the way.
My memory isn't failing me then... its just not bloody working. Unless its different with the new KR interface? Heavens know some things are - I forgot War/Peace mdoe was no longer bound to Tab and accidentally socked a wandering healer in the kisser! *le frown* Ahh well, I'll figure it out.
