I would argue that moving side a house fits under Y"ou have tried to remove yourself from the situation" since houses can be either private or ban certain people. If a person is still harassing you after you have gone inside your character's house, then I would argue that you have done your part. The fact that you have moved actual houses several times shows a good faith effort to solve the problem.

You don't have to move. You have the option to ignore any speech in UO. You don't have the option to ignore obscenties written-out by placing items on the ground. You don't have the option to ignore renamed animals outside your house.

You do however have the option to take no notice.

Writing "I want to f*** you" using items dropped on the ground is not illegal. As long as the "abuse" does not break the hate-speech rules of UO there is nothing you can do.

Why am I the vitim in this the one who has to pay the price? This is a teen rated game and spell FU out in front of my guild house where I have minors in the guild isnt offensiver either? It not just me being affect my whole guild and ally is having to deal with this.

The fact that you have minors in your guild doesn't affect the fact that writing "FU" is not against the rules.

I am tired of people making this my fault. I have done everything I can to stop this. But he is a lier and he has his guild harressing me while he sits back watching it. I just want to know how am I in the wrong here? And why

Whether you change your character is up to you. It is an option, which you could choose when you finally realise that saying "I want to f*** you" IS NOT A CRIME IN UO.
If the guy uses any of the hate-speech phrases, page a GM, wait until they read your logs, and he WILL get banned. Until that happens, live with it, or leave.

Piper has certain obligations:

1. You have asked the player to "please stop", and they have continued to repeat the offending behavior.

2. You have tried to remove yourself from the situation, for example, by recalling away or moving several screens.

3. You have done nothing to instigate or further encourage the harassment.

4. You have added the player to your ignore list, which is located in your UO options, under Filter Options.

5. You have read and understand Electronic Arts' definition of harassment, and Electronic Arts' Terms of Service.

6. Your account information is up to date, including a current email address.

It sounds like she has done many of these if not all.

One note about profanity from the above page:

"Please note that profanity itself is not prohibited, as Ultima Online is a teen rated game by the Entertainment Software Rating Board. However, this does not permit a player to harass another player with profanity."

I'll tell you what....

Tell me what shard you are on, I'll create a character there and meet you anywhere you like.
I will openly say "I want to f*** you in the arse." and take a screenshot myself.

I'll wait while you page a GM and we'll both see whether I get a ban or whether the GM suggests that you use the profanity filter.

I'll accept any ban that the GM institutes, and will post the results here on Uhall.
