Do you believe that only pvp'ers have left this shard and rp'ers, pvm'ers, and crafters are going strong? The entire shard population has declined. Granted the crafters may not have been affected by overpowered pets and ninjitsu, but they have been affected by the inability to craft powerful armour/weapons for many years. Did the pvp'ers leave because of this reason? Every player type on this shard has been affected by lack of attention. For every "Where are the Lord Puffy's" you throw out, I can say, "Where are the Grots, where are the Hoffs, where are the Felinious'?" And no, 'true pvp'ers' have not made up the majority of this shard. Here's the top 10 guilds of Siege back in 2005, how many "true pvp" guilds do you see:
Crafters have been affected by the inability to craft powerful weapons/armors?!?!? Have you never heard of runic hammers/kits/tools? Do you not recall guilds like mine buying and sopping up every single one of those we could get our hands on?
The biggest problem I have with your comparisons is that you're comparing guilds with open enrollment to guilds that only recruit selectively. As if they're the same thing.
For the record there are "true PvPers" in EVERY one of those alliances you listed.
I completely disagree that the 'true pvp'ers' should have had 1 more representative than everyone else. If anyone was under-represented it was the true crafters.
Should have 1 more representative than anyone else? Say what? You have 3 NON-PvPer representatives... to 1 PvPer. How is making it 2 PvPers to 2 or 3 Non-PvPers having 1 more representative than anyone else?
Please mentally work out that hurdle for me. I can't follow how you've twisted what I'm saying...
Looking at this, I shouldn't be surprised that nijitsu/stealth and pets were not even brought up as low hanging fruit. How easy is it to put in passive detect Bruin? Do you know the answer to one of the most hotly debated topics on this forum?
Yes. Because YOU bitched about passive detect in my thread titled 'letter to Cal on low hanging fruit', I put up a poll on Passive Detect
here. And guess what, the majority of Siege did not want an immediate change to passive detect by copying prodo shards.
I did not mention passive detect outside of pointing out why you didn't even include anything relating to the topic. There is a clear MINORITY that wants the current system of ninjitsu/stealth to remain the same. So why aren't Low Hanging Fruit being proposed to fix it?
Couple that with the very CLEAR vast numbers of players who left because of it and it's the biggest issue with Siege. Period... yet we have **** like black rock and bank storage which very few to no one CURRENTLY playing or that did play and left in disgust even cared about.
GOOD JOB TEAM.
I don't ask the devs to do what you want them to do. I don't ask the devs to do what I want them to do. I ask the devs to do what the community wants and I can prove to the devs usually via a overwhelming majority poll that I link for them every time I make a request. And the poll on passive detect did not show that the majority wanted an immediate change.
You do not. You didn't even TOUCH upon the communities very loud and 5 YEAR OLD issue with stealth tamers.
You can point the devs to issues that are hotly debated as something that needs to be addressed in one manner or another because the community as a whole is not happy with that system. They are the developers, since when did WE need to start spoon feeding them what changes are appropriate?
Yes, thank you for repeating what I already stated in a previous post. I was stumped, I needed help, and Kat, Kelmo and Sakie were around and willing to help for which I thank them. Next time I need help should I put up a poll about who I should ask for help from?
Yes, thank you for repeating what you already stated too.
So I'll repeat. I completely disagree with you and I do not think on your terms.
Take Forsaken for example. How many of the representatives you picked have the experience and in depth knowledge of this game that he does? How many of you have the experience and in depth knowledge of successfully completing champion spawns compared to him? Factions? Peerless? Character Templates/Builds? The use, viability and balance between the various templates?
How does someone like Kelmo compare to that? We all know how Speedy and someone like Kage compares. So tell me. How does Kelmo compare?
By the way... if you want to replace Kelmo with somebody from Gil, then please pick someone like Speedy.
I never said I wanted to replace Kelmo with somebody from GIL.
I believe Kelmo is a good representative of the people not belonging to one of the 3 major alliances.
I never said you wanted to replace Kelmo. I'm saying you should want to have a team of representatives that actually represent the community.
In what way does he represent those players? That misc. group makes up pieces of everyone including PvPers, Champion Spawners, PvMers, Crafters, Factioners, Role Players, everything.
I cannot honestly believe someone who has no success or real interest in PvP, in champion spawns, in half the things I listed is a good representation of that group.
Oh he is simply because you say so?
Kelmo only represents bits and pieces of. Someone like Speedy (since I used him as an example) has successfully shown that he understands ALL of those systems and participates in them on a high level. From PvP to PvE to everything.
Please give me some reasons why you don't want to replace Kelmo with someone like Speedy?
