Help: Ball of Pet Summoning

I have been out of circulation for a while, so forgive my lack of knowledge.

How do I obtain one of these?

On LS I have found three vendors selling the balls, yet none of the balls can actually be purchased, i.e., clicking on the item does not popup a 'buy' gump.

Not sure what I am missing, though, I have searched stratics and uoguide.

Can someone enlighten me please.

you need to go to the solen hive and kill queens They drop off of them
I suggest doing the solen quests at the same time I will find a link and post for you brb

If the vendors are at ground level, or you can get to the level they're on, you can purchase them by saying 'vendor buy'
