help a toon

this wed 8/27, i will be in ttc, kookygrove, hanging out by the schoolhouse at 7pm eastern.
if you need help with a toon task use the stratics greeting of 'welcome to toontown' etc. and i will be happy to help you complete a toontask/or work on it. i will probably bring miss lilac lady since we might need to make friends if we need to district hop and she has fr space. since i am only committing myself to this, if a lot of toons needing help show up i would need to take you one at a time, unless we can double up.

after each toon is helped, i'll pop back to ttc to see if anyone else needs help. i am willing to commit 2hrs to this.

this is kind of like the inaugural so if it doesn't work so be it, but i'd rather help stratics toons when i have time, before i run up to a toon in the playgrounds and ask what toon task are they working on....lol.

i like this idea.. I might try it sometime cause i am usually looking to work my lure and drop and i dont need any specific cogs.. plus at one time I will start working on my new toon and will need to find friends to help me.. I think we should commit a day to "Help a Toon" and all meet in the playgroud if we have spare time.. what do u think?

it's a good idea, but i didn't want to commit anyone else in case it doesn't work the way i think it will.

the only reason i specified that time is that i know i'll be free then. one other thing is that since i have a couple of accounts and a laptop, if i need cannon fodder for the cogs and another gag player, i can pull in another toon if attempting 5 stories... or running a factory for parts, i can bring the extra sounder if need be.

Susan - I think you've answered the question I've recently been pondering of -- what do you do with a toon that is maxed? This is a great idea. If Missus Hoggat still needs hundreds of Name Droppers on Wednesday, I may look you up....

and if she still needs nd's we'll pop from district to district or pg to pg scooping up all the little nd's ur heart desires...that's how i worked the crunchers and dt's on my toons.

I think this is great stuff.

As some know, I belonged to Toons to the Rescue for several years.

Changing schedules and other factors have pulled me away from a structured help system. However it has taught me that yes, it DOES give your big toons purpose.

I've since gone at random times with whichever toon I feel like. It's always easy to find someone who needs help, and I've learned that even with randoms, if they need that task done, they WILL apply teamwork, particularly if I need them to pass while I lure big toons so we hit together.

Holoduck will go to NS to hop on the coin elevator to help toons get their pestles or gold teeth. It seems so much less painful than shuffling at the Bull. Or the other day when he went with toons who were unfortunate to pick Cashbot Dollar Mint tasks from HQ (I did that with Flippers, so I can relate).

As long as toons come to your meeting place, it's great. Remember that when interest fades, there's always that toon somewhere who needs a 2-level in Docks for Ahab, the key from The Minglers or Legal Eagles, the LOM20, alibis, etc etc. Just pick a green district and go ;P

Let's pick a day for Help a Toon and all day during that day if you have spare time you just go to the playground in TTC in Kooky Grove and see if anyone can help you or you can help another! We can call it " Help a Toon Day" and put it on the calendar...

I like that idea Aimee! Missus Hoggat finally finished that dratted Name Dropper task and has moved on to helping Professor Flake. Each street I need to get that danged sensor from, I'll help little toons do a building or something.

ok so it is 0709pm eastern and i've been standing by the school house in kookygrove for 10 minutes watching little toons visit professor pete. no one has come to me for help. i'll hang here for another 10 minutes or so then i'm giving up. i thought it was a good idea but...for all of that i guess no one needs help.
