Hello? Where is everyone?

I used to play on Europa about 4 years ago. I played there from the day it started. I have returned but thought I would try a different shard. I have been around for 2.5 weeks and to date only been able to get one person to even talk to me. Very few people around it seams very dead. Is there a reason those that are on dont chat? Is the chat system curently broken. I see my words and at times I see others words but its very rare. Its sad realy what made UO was the community, the tones of friends ectera.

There are people around but Origin isn't a large, heavily populated shard at all. It seems certain times of the day, as with all shards, tend to be busier. I've noticed that evening hours (EST time) seem to be the busiest time here. And yes, at times there will be many (many - 5? hehe) people at the bank sitting idle or taking a break. What time are you usually on?

If you're thinking of staying, welcome! If you're just visiting, welcome just the same! The majority of the population here is friendly and I'd go so far as to say mature. That's one of the things that tempted me to come and stay from Chesapeake. I've ran across very few that like attempting to dampen an otherwise fun-time. My career keeps me busy during the week so I'm usually only on in the evening and weekends. If you need anything just PM me, I'm happy to help. =)

Welcome Intrepida!

I played Europa about 4 years ago. I was in ELV guild. I moved here because Europa was just too crowded, and Origin is much much closer to my RL home in California. It has always been a low population shard as many people think we're 'just a test shard'.

However, I recently went back to Europa to look around and was amazed at the amount of available house placement space. I remember paying lots of gold for an 18x18, now the desert area in Malas is almost completely clear of homes!

Anyway, if I"m around in Luna Bank, say hi I'll help you get started and introduce to the guild if you like.

Thank you for your warm welcomes My toon name is BLue Spruce. I spend my time in Delucia as its great for gathering raw goods to work up my crafting skills. MY home is by the yew bank its where I lived before even back in just felucia days. Old habits die hard hehehe. I haven't been around much the last 3 weeks due to being very sick RL. Kinda sucks. Work drains what energy I have then I come home and sleep.
