Hello! I feel new again and very confused.

Hello everyone. I feel so lost! I haven't played since 2012 and I could use a refresher I have 7 pretty well developed characters and I have no clue what there purpose was/is. Lots of items that at the time where expensive (to me). I keep logging in and just standing there because I'm feeling so overwhelmed. What's new? Whats cool to do ingame now? Nice to see the Shard is has people playing. Anyone have a house for sale? I found a few spots to put down a 7x7 but looking at my characters banks a 7x7 isn't gonna cut it. Anyone have a house for sale? Speaking of banks where's my gold go when I put it in the bank? LOL!

Welcome back!

Gold is no longer held in check form like it used to be. Your gold balance is now account bound and no longer is separated by character.

There's been a lot of changes to PVM and PVP. There was a new expansion (Time of Legend / Valley of Eodon), with new lands to explore and battles to fight. There was a major overhaul of the way Taming pets works, so that you can now customize pets with different abilities and stats, and has been generally pretty popular. There was a change to the way "loot" drops, in that there is now a global loot table that produces very high end gear compared to 5+ years ago.

Is there any template in particular that you have questions about? Any particular game mechanics?

Welcome back friend, take your time and figure out what you'd like to do... joining a guild at first might help you get things setup. There's so much depth to UO that you can pretty much do anything you want
