Hedge walls

Hello all,

Some times the hardest part is setting up ready to decorate - Here is the scaffolding required when building my hedge walls. It is half completed - approx 150 placed so far - another 300 to complete this part of the project. I am planning on full height walls on the North and West side of Castle.

Once the walls are up, I can then start decorating them with my art works ...

This is a work in progress - have just move into a new home. I expect it will take a month or two to decorate - will post as i go.

Hi Vlad,

You are probably noticing that the corner tower hedge wall is higher (by 1/2 a short hedge or so) than the main back wall. This can not be helped - the way I place the hedges I can not control the height as I just 'drop' them into place.

You will also notice that there is a gap between the main back wall and the wall of the corner tower wall - I plan to break up the height difference by filling this with Rubble wall window pieces stacked.

The castle is on Oceania - It is the forth clearing south of Yew Gate - Over the road and a screen or two to the left (32 21N / 24 36W)

That looks impressive, but if you have anyone living near you or anyone reports you, you could loose a your hedges and tables really quick by a GM

Yes... and No...

I have confirmation from Sakkarah (before she left) and from Mesanna that three things are considered on this.

1.) The design must be done using game-mechanics: Check

2.) The design must not provide an unfair advantage over other players: Check

3.) The design must not grief others (such as blocking their door, etc.). Maybe

So... the only question is does it block or grief others. If the house is private, it will never block them. Even if the house is public - the other party would have to enter your house to load the items to be inconvenienced by them.

Some say they create lag as well - but I do not buy that. I can put just as many goza's and lockdowns into a 3 story as I can using the upper floors. There is no difference on it.

There are a few areas on classic homes that may load up the items placed on/over them, but generally private keeps and castles don't cause much lag from their stuff. I think it's a pretty rare event that a GM will get deletey with stuff in a house, they don't lag unless they load stuff up and if no one steps on the plot that doesn't happen unless they use special tiles.
