Haven't played thief in awhile, hows this sound?

Shadow Dancers, Burglars Bandanna max out Stealing, Stealth, Snooping.

Elf -- STR 120 .. DEX 125 .. INT 10

I sacrificed any offensive and healing abilities for defense.
Theoretically I will be able to 120 Wrestling,Resist, and Parry when I find perfect jewelry. Stygian Abyss will make this much easier.

So overall what do you guys think? I have been wanting to make this class for awhile, and it is VERY fun on test....

Couple questions-
Can I save more skill cap without sacrificing to much performance?
I can steal from people with only 1 hand open right?

Not sure I understand why you have so much dex, also, no magic at all? Makes for a tough time of making rounds if you have to run to every location. If you are on a production shard, might I suggest a little chiv or at least some magery to where you can use scrolls?...la

Dex for more parrys, and wrestle "blocks".... Both true right?

I can recall with runebook, I thought. If not I will just care some +magery items.

I am contemplating dropping wrestling

Before dropping it. Take a week, and walk around your shard...see how people walk around. If everyone insures their weapons, you probably would be right to drop it. For me, on Siege, not everyone blesses their weapons they carry so disarm is a fun skill to have. Maybe drop wrestle for magery...there are a lot of spells you can use to help you get away from your marks...la

How is the action on Siege nowadays? Busy? Is there normally pvp goin on?

I play Atlantic so I really wont get any good disarm steals.

I know whatever I go with I can always change. Stealing for me has always been the rush of running away haha. Also the joy of just annoying the world. Back in the old days a thief was a threat..... Insurance is prettttty annoying.

Here is something I never thought of before. We, as PVP thieves, are against Doom and anywhere else you steal stuff off the ground. Is it somehow hypocritical of us to use items that were acquired by crates and at the same time talk **** about them? Thoughts?

My idea for a fun event... Well, I think would be fun but realize would never happen. Constructed criticism is always appreciated.

Pirate scum has taken over Bucs Den. The spawn is spread out Bucs Den with similar difficulty to the rooms in Doom. Once a % of the spawn is killed the boss is summoned. He has the strength of x2 - x10 Dark Fathers, depending on the average number of people participating in the event from the beginning. Once he has been summoned no one can enter Bucs Den.
He drops "Blank Items" which can be Jewelry, Armor, or Weapons. These items can be duplicated in to different items of the same kind ( rings to rings, Bow to bow, leg armor to leg armor, etc). They cant be duped to artifacts. ie only the equivalent to random monster loot or hand crafted. These "duped" items can't be enhanced or insured, and can be stolen.

I don't think that it would ruin pvp. Stygian Abyss is going to bring us loads of high end gear.
Idea still in progress, and really just came off top of head. I was just trying to think of a way to bring back the days pre-insurance, and fun to Bucs Den. Sorry if this idea offended you to the point you wanna flame.

Hehe, that makes sense. The theft from the crate cancels out the theft from the ground, fair enough. =]

for 2d and UO Options macros, or strictly UOA?

Should I be thieving in KR?

The only perk to using KR, is that players cannot hide items in their packs. After that, there is no other reason to use that imo. 2d w/ UOA ftw...la

Ok, nevermind I think I figured it out.

I didn't realize the more dex you have the more likely you wont be passively detected.

"When stealthing near other people or monsters there is a chance you are detected. A check is made by comparing the stealthers Stealth skill and Dexterity versus the other persons or monsters Detect Hidden skill. "
