Haven't personally done it myself but a few folk on my shard have several colored battle chickens. It's probably going to take quite a few hatch attempts before you get (1).

There are a couple threads in the Stygian Abyss forum with information on battle chickens. One person said there is about a 5% chance to hatch a battle chicken from any egg (I don't know if this is true). You also have to be sure it is watered properly every day.

I thought for a properly watered one it was supposed to be 1 in 10. So after 30 which all matured as they should you would have thought I would have had at least one.
I understood the 5% chance was after you missed a watering and the egg became parched.
Perhaps I have just been unlucky which is why I asked the question as I dont want to go on and on if they are not hatching at a 1 in 10 chance as they should.

It seems I've been very lucky, indeed, as I've only incubated about six in total. Just like you, I'm aware of guildmates who have incubated 20-30 with no success yet.

I am not sure what the chance of success is, but if it is only 5% ( which is 1 in 20), then going 30 hatchings in a row without a battle chicken is not unusual. Not lucky if course, but not impossible.

My husband and i killed about 30 chicken lizards until i got one egg. Hatched it and it turned out to be a shadow iron coloured battle chicken

I couldn't believe my luck as my tamer's always wearing a hooded shroud of shadows and rides a shadow Cu Sidhe too so it's the perfect colour

My first was a bright blue battle chicken.
My first egg to mature was a pink battle chicken. She is now bonded and has bonded babies who have produced eggs. I am trying to see if her line will produce her kind. So far, nope.
I have not seen another battle chicken egg of any color I just cannot kill them so all eggs are from tamed ones.

I have 6(after I hatch the two in the screenshot), one guildy has 2 or 3, another has something around 4, and I think theres another 2 that haven't gotten any yet....

Hopefully when a person gets regular chicken lizards that lay eggs, the chickens can be transfered to a new owner, and then they can bond it and the chicken still lays eggs...(in other words, if the chicken lays eggs for one person, then hopefully it will do that no matter who owns it or how many times its xfered from owner to owner). I'm thinking about doing a small test on this theory later on, and hopefully I can get more people to do the same

I'm all for not having to hunt for eggs anymore, and I'm hoping to get laying lizards to guildies and friends who dont have 1hr everyday to get 3 eggs and then praying one turns into a battle chicken.

Cyrah, my verite hatched from a normal, bonded chicken lizard I'd tamed whilst exploring.
My blue battle chicken (also from a normal/tamed & bonded chicken lizard) only bonded in the last couple days so her first egg is still incubating.
Verite just hatched late yesterday; eg not bonded so no eggs yet.

Anyway, I have "reared" two so far...one is verite and the other is almost a mint green. I want a pink one dangit!

The wife and i got lucky. We had twins with the 1st and 3rd egg we hatched.

ok, sorry bout the confusion people. I did say 5% but.... It's actually 10% to start, then 5% if you miss one watering and finally 1% if you miss two waterings. Out of 35 eggs, i have hatched 3 battle chickens, a blue, a green and one I sold which looked green as well. Out of those 3 one egg was parched and still yielded a battle chicken. I generally incubate 3 eggs at a time and have only missed a watering the one time. There is detailed info at uo.com in the playguide. Go to the Stygian Abyss section.

I just got two more today! Im closer to the 10%.
One is blue and I think one is pink. I will keep the ice blue and blue. The pink one is still in its egg. I will try to sell it this weekend.

Then i thought i can't do that right away because it takes 7 days for the battle chickens to bond and lay eggs and that will cut down on my eggs laying production
So now im up to 18 coops with 6 of them with battle chickens in various stages of bonding and laying and the others for normal already bonded ones.
My favorite is a strong pink 160+ hp and 20 phys and 16 fire resist.
