I think its been 9 years since I logged in ... I had several accounts and played almost exclusively on SP for the last three years I played (played from 2000-2007 I think ...) . My oldest son wants to try UO with me for some reason - doubt we would play much, but I told him I would try to see if recovery of my old account was possible first ... I remember the log in name and a few of my character names on Chessy and my SP guy ... I unfortunately do not recall my other accounts usernames at all ... I think my main account had Yasou Wakayama on it though I could be wrong it may be my red mage Isoroku Yakahama ... has anyone had luck getting a long defunct account restarted?

Hello Kelmo ... there was a time I had many thousand posts on Stratics but I guess my posting account is defunct also. I emailed EA and they sent me a response with some questions so hopefully that will help.

If you are having problems you can email [email protected] she is the producer of UO and sometimes helps people reclaim their old accounts.
@AtlanticRealtor is very experienced with the account system as well, he might be able to point you in the right direction.

Yes, I deal with a lot of accounts every week!
If you are the "original owner" of the account, you will have no problem at all on getting back!
All you need to do is email [email protected] and ask them to unlink the account name: XXXXX from the current email
(You will use this option in case you have No clue which email you registered the account)
They will send you an auto email response with the Ticket #
The next email you receive, will be from a "live" support member and they will ask for the Secret Question that was created on the account and they will give you a hint, 99% of the time it is the Mothers Maiden Name, Pets name or Place of Birth.
and after that just link the account back to your new or current email

I returned in 2015, after be gone for a little over 6 yrs. Having kept track of the information on the accounts I had then helped a lot with retrieving them. If you can give what they ask, (even a few answers will help) they will do all they can to help you. Good luck and be sure to do as Kelmo said "give the shard a shout in general chat".

I cant remember if i gave away 2 accounts about 10 years ago or i just lost the info. 1 was a gm fisherman "mule the mute" and the other was a macer "force of nature" I'm pretty sure I'm still using the original email and would probably know the secret word I would just hate to reclaim these characters only to find out someone else was still using them under a name change.
