Halloween Quest only once per char?

Hi, i have done the quest on 3 chars now but every time I am trying to do it a second time with a char eliza is not dropping the letter anymore. She is giving the right response but the letter is simply not dropped into the bagpack anymore. A bug? Or should it be like this?

You don't need to do the quest on multiple characters. You can collect all the essence you want on the same one.

well, maybe I am stupid but I simply dont understand: of course i can collect residue with a char that has finished the quest but i wont have anything to put the 5 red things in once I go into "monster mode". So how can you collect more than on crystal (be it red, yellow or blue) with one char?

i did, i cant! I can see the red thingies but walking over them doesnt pick them up. They simply stay on the ground because I have nothing to put them in. When i go to the cauldron i cant get another murky potion.
It all starts with eliza not dropping th letter again... hmmmm...

Wen you turn in the item at chemestry table you grab another one to fill up...

I know not many people think about that..freind did the same thing...forgot to grab it again..
