In Pacific, even though the quest is gone, I still have been collecting pumpkins around the clock within the same cropfields and still able to collect moongrass and residue. I'm happy the moongrass/residue is still there, maybe i'll still have an oppurtunity to look for and tame 4.9 creatures (that is, if the residue still turns us into monster form..)
