This is one of my favorite moments taking screenshots in The Secret World. I like to take a screencap of every moment in the game, and when I saw this statue, it was no exception. So haunting. So unsettling! The game, however, briefly freezes when you take a screenshot. When I pressed the key, I looked around the rest of the screen and saw something in the distance. Some tall, unknown figure coming closer and closer...
The entire Secret World Halloween event was in pursuit of Irusan, The Cat God. The entire event presents itself as a self-contained, one-off event wherein you stop this Bat Kitty. In the last battle, however, a certain plot twist lands you with an arch-rival and master of magic: Gabriel St. John.
This screenshot, to me, encapsulates how winding and deliciously unpredictable the stories of The Secret World can be. You rarely have a firm grasp on what's going on around you. All you can do is move where you can and keep still for the rest.
Make no mistake, Madame Rogêt understands the true spirit of the Halloween season.
