When fighting anyone using an area of affect weapon at fel yew moongate, make sure you stand as close to other people as possible (preferably near guard zone if not in gaurd zone). So that's how I'd handle that kind of situation, anymore questions saint? Also as previously stated, the template I play is mainl a GANKing template. Don't hate the player hate the game
I'm pretty sure I also said that it's hard for me to kill 1v1 mainly due to the fact that people won't stay on the same screen. I know it's hard for a person with limited skills such as yourself to understand; especially seeing as how there is only a select few out there that can make a player run off screen anymore.

nope, not at all. When you think about it, if I can kill you on a "gaurd hugging noob" what does that make you (something a lot less but can't think of anything much less)? If i'm being ganked then yeah I have no problem running to the guard zone (better to live and fight another day then stand and die imo). If someone is going to use an area of affect weapon, or let alone go out of their way to have one created for little ol' me because i'm such a "guard hugging noob" lol then that says a lot about them and well i'd just have to make sure i'm around other people so they can get a taste of the persons medicine as well.
You do realize that PvP stands for Player v Player right? Hense, the abbreviation comes from a player attacking another player. A newly created character could be referd to as a "PvPer" if they attack people in fel all the time. The abbreviation doesn't stand for "leetness" or anything, it stands for Player vs Player. The point i'm trying to get across to u is that anybody (a 2 year old even) could be considered a "PvPer" as long as they know how to flag on another player lol.
"badass" is such a broad term... I like to think of myself as a nice and friendly individual who just wants to have fun.

I always drop as soon as I get there. There's not more to the story, I have no reason to lie in some manner to attempt to make RC look bad or ovepowered. I have nothing to gain from it nor is there any advantage.
We dropped same time, my dragon tanked the whole time while they casted RC and what I think was Bombard. In the end I couldn't loot it.

You didn't get looting rights because you didn't do enough damage. Honestly i don't know what you expect, because as far as i can tell based on this and your previous post, you simply didn't do anything except heal.
If Mel went down before keys expired like you said, and all the damage you did came from the dragon, then obviously there was a pretty good chance you didn't do enough damage to get looting rights to begin with. If you killed Mel before keys expired there was no time for your dragon to ramp up enough damage to qualify you for looting rights.
Compared to the mystics who were probably wearing a fey slayer spell book, your dragon was probably hitting Mel for anywhere between 15-30 while they were hitting for 150+ from bombard + colossus damage.
That's the problem. And of course I didn't do anything but heal, it was the only pet and it was tanking. I'm not really sure what's difficult to understand about this. I expected to be able to loot the corpse...
Unless you're telling me to tank the pet and let it die so I can maybe get a couple of flamestrikes in? And why would they be wearing dragon slaying books for Melisande?
Keep in mind that you only get awarded for the damage your pet does for two minutes after the last kill command you issued.
So, if the fight lasted a few minutes and you only issued one kill command, you only got awarded the damage your dragon did for the first two minutes. Every point of damage it did after that point wasn't taken into account for your looting rights.

It's specified in UOGuide. I have noticed at the classic client that once the two minutes of the last kill command expires, the pets bar with the name and health bar turn blue instead of the usual green. Telling them to kill again turns it back to green.

Could not agree more Herman. For those long fights try the All Guard after the all kill, it seems to have alot longer timer.
It's been that way for a very long time. When your pet turns blue you re-give the kill command.
I mightg agree with this, except there is always the chance that there will be an event where this could come back...
as well as the possibility that something else will get broken if they remove this (let's face it, how many times have additions broken something...i bet the same thing could happen when something is taken out fo the code as well).
To me, it is not a game stopper, just a mild inconvenience which means my tamer has to keep an eye on her pets.
sorry that was a typo, i meant fey slayer. was thinking about dragons at the time and wrote dragon on accident. Fixed in original post.
I'd suggest that you ask the mystics to help heal next time, so that you can get a couple of flame strikes in while wearing a "fey" slayer spellbook, so that you are guaranteed to do enough damage for looting rights.
Yep I tell my pet to attack every couple of minutes (macro on mouse wheel makes it easier).
Plus I use a doggie, not a GD, and get looting rights every time.

What pets are you using 5 of to attack? Pack llamas? Ostards? I can't think of any animals I'd use that only have 1 control slot to fight with.
