NO not really. I have asked my oldest daughter to stay off my computer when on facebook, she does quizzes and test and all kinds of crap. But my av updates twice daily and runs a full scan on both hard drives every night. plus I update and run antispyware in the am so it can go while coffee is brewing.

I never detected anything looked malicious, couple of higher priority than normal tracking cookies two days ago, but they did not resist being cleaned.

Frankly I won't wait around to find out. I've blocked the accts again until I call back and that will be after full uninstall reformats and fresh installs of the OS.

Looks like I got really lucky.

Actually I'm three months(since I turned in our taxes) overdue on reformatting the drives anyway.

( I notice that a couple of my "honeypot" email addresses have started getting spam so there's been some information leakage somewhere, but might not be UO-related )

may not be a virus or trojan....it could be that your email was hacked, and the passwords were retrievable. Its not hard to break emails pass's because everyone puts all there personal info on the web. Most of the time you dont even know you have done it.

Very uncertain at this point. Trying to backtrack my steps over the last 24. The daughter is away at camp and has been since Monday, so I can't rightly blame her, unless she picked up something that went undetected.

I'm highly confident in my passwords and the retrieval procedures (questions etc)

I lost all five houses on a grandfathered acct back in 02 i think it was. Ever since then I'm really paranoid, drives the other comp users in my house insane.

Like I said at this point I'm more concerned with being secure going forward. Might open another different email acct just for uo stuff, and then let it lie.

If you havnt been doing this you should. Also try to get the account from your ISP, rather then using a free email service like hotmail. Most ISPs will allow you to have a few email accounts; I set one up for the sole purpose if using for my UO accounts, the only place I use it is when I have to goto UO.com and update my accounts.

if you ever have any homes in fel that you feel are at risk. I can easily rally up the full number of barnyard animals to protect ones house. We can make it extremely un enjoyable for a person hacking someones account. If someone is taking your property, we're glad to help you stop or slow them down as best we can.
