The history of Guts and Glory Trading LLC: we formed on Siege Perilous a number of years ago by the Gargoyle sisters Phelonius and Desdemona Lyre. We were businesswomen who wanted to stay out of the political drama and conflict which interfere with our commercial enterprise. Our primary enterprise was in plant products including petals, leaves and dyes and we did a brisk business. Lured by the availability of space we sought to set up an operation in Origin and we were able to get a fine large building (castle) with water circulating through all floors; perfect for horticulture and dye making. We soon came to see that as a dead end because there is no market there for our wares. The Lyre sisters remain in Oblivion, but four of us find ourselves now in Catskills and are working to get established here. Our Winternacht Office is located in the abandoned town of Istas. It is a permafrost area in Malas east of Luna so growing plants will be challenging here; however, we manage to pump up some liquid water from below the frost line.
We were informed that the alliance agreement would be presented to us on January 18th at the New Magincia docks at the time of the weekly net toss. As Alix Tankerville is serving as our leader it was up to her to be there. "And what if a scallis emerges while I am on the dock?" she exclaimed. "You could always swing your shovel at it" Gwrarch replied with a smirk on her face. It must be noted here that Alix uses the power of mysticism to defend herself while fishing or digging up hidden treasure, but has no combat training. In fact no sooner had Alix signed the agreement the event began. A sizable group of people and pets gathered on the west dock and began fighting the attacking sea creatures. Standing there with shovel in hands, Alix summoned a rising colossus which then attacked the scalis beside the dock as she backed away to seemingly safe distance. What emerged next was like a scene from the apocalypse with nets being thrown all over, monsters arising and killing everyone in their path while the survivors ran around frantically trying to help the fallen and kill the enemies. Alix, realizing that she was powerless to help in anyway finally managed to crawl away up the steps with three death robes. How this usually quite orderly social event turned into armageddon has yet to be revealed. Was it the plan for the evening or was their sabotage involved? All that we can say is that our first night in the alliance was indeed memorable.
