I would like to welcome out first guild, Downunder, to our new series Guild Spotlight, added to Guild Wars 2 Stratics!
Our staff wants to personally thank Kram, the guild leader, for taking time to interview with us and answering questions about Downunder.

Please tell us something about the guild?
Kram - We're an oceanic guild, Meaning most of us are from Australia, which from experience means we rarely get our own servers. Due to our time zone, were never on at peak time and finding a guild that schedules events based on our time zone is almost impossible. What we aim to do is to start a close community that can join Guild Wars 2 on day 1 as a guild.
What type of gameplay is the Downunder Guild focusing on? PvE, WvW, or both?
Kram - We aim to do both, PvE being primary but WvW being a close second. Since Guild wars 2 looks so innovative and different from past MMO's we really don't want to set anything in stone until we can really try out what it has to offer.
Is your guild limted to a region/country or is the world all welcome to join?
Kram - We are an Oceanic guild which means we run off GMT +10 time zone which will mean Australian peak times for most of our events.
Recruitment is not limited to Oceanic/Australian players, Graveyard shifts from around the world are welcome.
What are the guilds goals for Guild Wars 2?
Kram - We want to go into Guild Wars 2 with an open mind, we really don't know
what to expect. Our main goal is to have fun, above all to not take ourselves to seriously and just enjoy the game that were all waiting so impatiently for!
What brought you and your current guild members together to form
Downunder Guild ?
Kram - Australian's love our games but find we get the short end of the stick. What brings us all together is the opportunity to get around and say lets make the best of what we have. Instead of us scattering ourselves over different server's worldwide we want to be there from day one as a guild.
What is the most exciting part for your guild as a whole for Guild Wars 2?
Kram - I think we are most excited to get in and test out some of the professions, most of us have no idea what profession we want to roll and the one's that do change there mind every week.
The great part about not having the trinity roles of tank, heals and damage means we don't need to say we need this, this and that. We can just say find what you like, find what's fun and let's get going.
