[Treasure Hunting] Guardians give special loot?

i recall when they came out there Guardians of higher level chests where fabled to give out something.

and then i spent a while tonight reading through a bunch of stuff about treasure hunters and it says i one of the write ups that yes, Guardians of the higher level chests have a chance of dropping special items.


so my question is..... what?

Well, after hundreds of level 6 maps and dozens of level 7 maps I can only say: if they drop anything special it must be extremely rare...

Never found anything special in over 700 level 6 chest recoveries.

One person posted at start of lvl 7 maps.
That he got a stack ofx-bow bolts..
The one looks like 3 or 5 together..
I also ehard there were to be special drops..
Have never seen anything from that since.

It was dropping on test, but not implented on production shards.

Playing cards was also one of the items.

i could have sworn i remember them saying that, but i have yet to see anything in all the ones ive done.

even in the write up on stratics here it says there is a special drop.

wonder why this never went live?

Oops, sorry. I'll amend that. Mandrake is right, it never made it to the live shards. Sorry for the misleading info.

To the best of my knowlage, the guardians do not drop anything special. However, there is a 3 part coffin that can be obtained out of the level 7 maps in Malas, I believe it is. At least that is where I seem to recall my 2 pieces comming from. If anyone knows if the coffin pieces drop on the other facets, please let me know.

pretty sure i got mine from other areas like ish and fel

- i have 4 pieces and i dont remember ever doing a malas map.
they are inside the chest and not drops off of the guardians.
