Thanks once again to everyone who took part in the auctions, from those that generously donated items and gold to those that bid on them. Total lots sold across both events was 184, one more than before, but total sales reached 442 million, an increase of over 20%, thanks to some very interesting lots.
We had sixty lots in the live sale this time and it ran a little longer than I would have liked. Partially that may have been because my blood sugar was running a little low towards the end so that may have slowed things down, but for the next auction I am going to reduce the lots to a maximum of 55, which is what we had in the first one.
Now on to the important bit. Not only did we beat the money raised for the Town Fund this time (although the amount per town was down slightly due to all nine towns getting a cut) but the total cash raised for all towns was over a quarter of a billion!
Highlight of the live auction had to have been the sale of a rare Smuggler's Edge which ended up going for an incredible thirty-one million. As it had been donated to Britain by deputy governor Holden, the capital's money problems came to an end as it pushed the town's share of the pot to over 50 million. Despite that, several donations from governor Ironfist and others helped New Magincia top the town list with total income of over 57 million.
Money should be on the town stones by tomorrow.
