Howdy Py,
Fought against and along-side you in various incarnations, always nice to see an old soul.

Wow, so good to hear from you all! I do miss playing with you all, friends and foes alike! Some days I miss running around in a game world that actually feels like a world. I've heard people say that you always compare every game world to that first world that held you. I guess that's true of me. I've tried so many games, but none feel ... like "real worlds" the way UO felt. They are all like Trammel.. meaningless combat and empty rewards, virtual baubles...
I remember being invited once to a knighting on a Trammel shard. A few KSS made characters and came with me, and though I was honored... it made me ask.. what does it mean to play a knight on a server where there is no cost of death, no ground to lose? What good deeds can you do? Let someone else in line before you to kill the spawn? What does it mean to play a villain there? It seemed to mean nothing.
Some days I miss playing Py, the way I used to do, but I just don't have the same passion for it as I used to. I also don't have the same time for it like I used to. Sometimes I am tantalized by those old feelings, and I know some old friends who would raise a cheer to see a certain old knight patrolling the land, and I would love to do that for old friends, and for me, but time is no longer on my side.
As for life, well the kids are great, doing very well. My eldest failed her driving test twice now! Learning humility is not a bad thing, especially when it comes to driving! Some positive things, I started a new developer job in January at a very successful independent game development studio - we do XBox, Playstation, Facebook, Wii games, etc... very cool environment, having fun at work.
I remember you all very fondly, even the ones I chased to the ends of Ilshenar, whatever Py might have said, the player behind Py loved your villainy!
Peace,
Py Lethius, Retired Knight
