I really think it was 7pst not est and the EM's placed a lantern based on
what some players said. I thought Mesanna said 7pst but not real sure
now.

Oh you didn't know it was an epic bank sitting event. The largest on Napa in years. Players from all shard came to wait and bank sit. Hours of peoples lives wasted during it. *Begins epic slow clap* for Mesanna.

The event was late due to Mesanna having to take and get her dog stitches.
As an avid dog lover I can understand, and the fact that she did carry
out the event even says more. I hope all is ok with her baby.

Maybe its just me, but I don't think placing a quick lantern and saying event cancelled is not too much to ask. The player community have lives and other things going on as well. I bet a laptop could have been used from the vet. How about a quick e-mail to the EMs on a blackberry?

It is just you. Who gives a crap about a pixel event when your dog or any animal for that matter is injured or sick. Maybe she does not have a laptop or black berry. Give her a break, she had an emergency.
