*slips in to the tavern and begins his morning regiment*

Ahh....another wonderful snowy day.

*starts frying up some eggs and bacon for the Lady Eden as she is surely hungry having waited so many hours for a bite to eat*

*hopes Chefnia comes in and takes over the cooking*

*pokes her head in and grins*


I am hungry, *tip toes to the couch*

*nods to Corvak*

Good day to you, bacon indeed. Something I can cook amazingly. Would you like some and perhaps something to drink as well?

*notices Claudia*

You are in quarantine!

*stops in her path*


but I am starving and i promise not to breathe *holds breathe!*

 

[Podolak]

*stokes up a secondary hearth somewhat removed from the rest of the crowd*

Here now...here is a nice warm place where hopefully you will not infect anyone! What can I get you to eat? Anything to drink this morning?

*looks sad* orange juice and hot coco and maybe a muffin*


*sits alone*


*mumbles to herself* not even a good morning honey how are you? Are you feeling better*

*notices the sad look on Claudia's face*

I don't mean to single you out, I just want you to get better (trust me I and everyone else wants that based on the cake I made yesterday).

Something i am learning to do

*backs out of the kitchen dragging a huge pot behind him*
Lunch is on me today. Figure with Claudia being ill I'd help out. Fresh Mongbat noodle soup for lunch.

I was going to make chicken noodle, but I couldn't catch any chickens.

 

[Podolak]

Alright Black Sun enough giving the lass ideas. Trust me she comes up with enough crazy stuff on her own.

*looks at the pot and the mongbats* How did you catch them anyway?

 

[Black Sun]

It wasn't hard. They have a brain the size of a walnut. But there is a trick.

The key is to find a group of males and females. The males will see you approach and try to show off for the females by attacking you. One whack on the head with anything larger than a toothpick (I used a wooden spoon) will put them down for the count. 2 or 3 good sized mongbats and you will have enough soup to feed an army.

Interesting Black Sun, I suppose that just leaves one question...



...do they taste like chicken?

No. Chicken tastes like mongbat.

Well anything has to be better than yesterdays cake.

I took the leftovers home last night, my lumberjack has ruined 3 axes trying to cut that thing.

I think he would have had better luck if he cut in to it right away. The longer it set the more interesting it got I think.

 

[Black Sun]

So perhaps I should let my miner take a whack at it then?

 

[Podolak]

If there is any left at this point I am not sure that would do much good than breaking a few pick axes. Though you are certainly welcome, maybe some of those sturdy pickaxes will do the trick.

Maybe I'll just set it at the end of the table and use it as a stool.

*strolls into the kitchen and picks up the eggs and bacon Podolak so nicely left for her on the counter*

*takes a bite*

"mmmm, such a long time since I had some decent eggs and bacon"

*finishes her meal and then writes a note, saying thank you to Podolak for the meal*

*turns and returns to the night*

*picks up the note and smiles*

Well, hopefully she visits again.

*pens a note of his own*

"Will be out of town tomorrow on business. Hopefully Chefnia can help with the cooking. See all of you on Friday.

*sets up a nice cozy spot by the fire for Claudia to enjoy tomorrow*

Well it must have been long enough where she isn't overly contagious any longer, lets get her back in to civilization!
